Nuking Baltimore's season is plenty of leverage. It's enough leverage that they're negotiating and targeting WRs Lamar wants.
He's not going to sit out the season, they arent nuking the season. He's not walking away from 32 mill. He's got no where else to go.

Wouldn't be the first time that a player sat for part or all of a season. Lamar has a nuclear option, and the Ravens are smart not to risk it. You can keep saying he has no leverage, but the Ravens' chances of winning in 2023 turn on Lamar. That gives him plenty of leverage.

He's locked in to the 1 year deal mid July, cant even sign a long term after that. He has no leverage other than to take the Leveon Bell route, which proved to be a huge mistake
Alas, they'll work something out

That's why he leans on the threat now. Could even just say, "If you don't commit to me, I'm going to prioritize my health this year and not use my legs often." Considering how much that offense revolves around Lamar's running ability, that threat alone is significant.

Right, that's all he's got. Which is nothing. Once the signing period is over, its sit out the whole season or play on the 1 year deal. And there will still be plenty of pre-season left
The only true leverage he would have had would have been interest from other clubs. And that ship sailed
On that note, if I'm the Jets I'd be thinking about throwing my hat in the ring and ending this Aaron Rodgers nonsense

If you think Lamar threatening to tank the Ravens' season is "nothing," I'm wasting my time here. The Ravens' conduct more than proves otherwise.

I don't see him anywhere but Baltimore. They built/designed their offense for him. If he goes somewhere else, he might not enjoy that advantage. But who knows? When it comes to huge money, anything can happen.

That’s an excellent point not mentioned often enough.
He’s a unique player who has had an offense designed around him to maximize his talents. He’s not just gonna walk onto another team and be expected to perform as well unless they change THEIR system. Who’s built for that? What is that gonna take in terms of coaching and personnel moves? It’s not like they’re gonna have 1rst round picks to do it.

Add THAT to the injury risk and all that $$. It’s easy for me to see why teams are not interested.

He's not sitting out the season. There's no way. That's the only leverage, and it doesnt exist.

He's gonna turn down 32 mil to prove a point? Dude needs to talk to L'Veon Bell. He sat out forfeiting 14 mil, then played for 14 mil in 2019 for the Jets. And that was a RB. A QB? That's a lot of jack for a team to eat for a player holding out. But how well will it work out for Lamar if Baltimore decides to do just that? Not so well, I'd think.

He doesn't have sit out the season to stick it to the Ravens. Ask Jalen Ramsey.
The Rams knew that.

Ask AD99 how he is feeling being a Rams ? Now ask Jalen his mood ?

2 different people . AD99 is a Ram from St.Louis.He is getting paid & The Price you gave to pay to have him retire a Ram

And he still wont get a new contract. This is a strange hill to die on,. He has no leverage. And Ramsey had the leverage that the organization he played for (Jacksonville) was such a disaster that his actions were deemed necessary. Anyway, just to play along, you are suggesting that Jackson's "Ramsey leverage" would be to be such a malcontent that the Ravens would be forced to trade him. A team that would be willing to pay a premium for his services for just this season, (Ramsey trade netted 2 1st round picks) and then be willing to sign him long term after the season for a massive contract. That's his leverage? Well, if such a team existed, they can sign him right now., wouldnt have to go thru all the machinations. That team doesnt exist, hence No Leverage

Don't understand why they would? They've got two years of him under contract at a great cap hit, relatively speaking, at $30 mil a year. That's a bargain these days. He'll still only be 30 at the end and if he takes them to the promise land then they'd have no qualms giving him a stupid contract at that point. If Lions are smart they see how 2023 goes and then maybe start talking if they think they want him another 5 years.

Well, we do need a back up.....
You can say what you want about Jared Goff. When it comes down to it we’ll see who gets the Last Laugh?

The Lions IMO are a lot better to The Rams, especially after they draft a couple more key players.
The Rams #6 is worth something? The Lions draft pick is(guessing) # 18 ?

You can add 20 other players as well that played a big part of The Rams Super Bowl run.
The Rams have signed who ? Copeland to an extension basically? Sounds like a championship run!!

Example Hags getting Bobby Wagner The Rams MVP in 2022,
& they get those Skins picks as well as there 1st rd pick. The did also sign some nice picks in FA.
Add they did beat The Rams to sneak in in front of Jared Goff playoffs.
