Rex Ryan finally watched some Rams games this last week

Yea I didn't know the exacts rules of both leagues until last weekend myself... I think the rule should be 3 yards for both leagues.. 1 yard is just freaking ridiculous imo...
I heard a show on the radio this week and they mentioned the college refs let the 3 yard rule slide all the time and on many occasions wont even throw a flag unless the Lineman is 5 yards down field. The NFL is flag happy and this one yard rule should be changed yesterday...
I agree, but now I am kind of glad the Rams lost, it was an embarrassment to every fan and team member and coach and family member. This is why we are 3-1. I hope the taste of that loss haunts this team for the next ten years. If the whiners were a good team it wouldn't have been so embarrassing but watching them really makes that loss even worse, or better? How did we let these scrubs skunk us? We should be 4-0
I knew what you were saying and I think your correct, at least that's what SF 49whinners were keying off of. I still don't think there is much guessing when it comes to the defense reading our run game. There was one slick pass last Sunday out of a clear running formation that got decent yards, but not much else from what I've noticed, but I am by no means an expert, just a novice here fellow fan.The point I was trying to make is that just because your paint game is on point doesn't mean the defense can't sell out the run. Besides Tampa run game hasn't done anything. The other two wins are due to the passing game, but still no one respects it. I assume it's because our run/pass formations aren't the same.
See my comments above regarding Harbor Gateway station in Gardena (1 stop north?). We are leaving from Irvine this week.so i'm coming from OC and i'm thinking i'd ,park at Carson Station, and Lift to the Coliseum. Parking and traffic was a nightmare at hawks game. thoughts?
Leave it the way it is its young and our QB has had plenty of time to throw the ball. Not all of Gurleys issues are oline related. Gurley is having some issues of his own too plus no one fears our passing game yet
The line is young. Very young.
They need to continue working together.
5 guys playing like 1. That's what we need.
I'd let them continue to develop.
Maybe I am in the minority, but I don't think the line has been all that bad. There is definite room for improvement. I'm not saying they don't need to step up and make more holes for Gurley. But the pass blocking has been quite good, and I don't think there is any line in the NFL that could consistently get push in the run game while being outnumbered nearly 2 to 1 in the box.
What this o-line needs is for Goff to develop to the point he can start, so that teams will stop stacking the box. Nobody is scared of Case Keenum. Full credit to Keenum for making just enough plays to win. But he'll never be a particularly dangerous QB, and this is the result. We also don't have a true #1 receiver. If we did, he would warrant attention even with a poor QB throwing to him. So that compounds the problem...
Agree with ALL These....way too soon...we're at the quarter pole....how many games together do this five have? 3?? Remember Brown got some time...in two games...Leave them alone is what I'd do. It's difficult for 5 guys to block 8 or 9. You want to help them then you need to develop a passing game that threatens the defense.
I tried giving Boudreau the benefit of the doubt early on in his stint with us. He started with some God-awful players.
But since then. We are talking some high end picks that don't produce, or even regress.
I'm no OLine guru...but I've reached the point where I'd move on from Boudreau.
I'm not there...YET....but I have a problem with our #2 pick, going to an O-Line guru and appearing at this moment to be much improved..G-Rob has improved, esp. his pass blocking...If that's all LeCharles Bently, we need to hire that guy...Hire a better O line coach.
Coleman as he relates to us....
2015 @ 49'ers....us 11 for 105, Frisco 7 for 60 - loss
2014 Vs Crudinals....us 6 for 69, them 8 for 59 - loss
2013 @ Crudinals....us 11 for 90, them 6 for 31 - loss
2012 Vs Cheatriots in England...us 12 for 102, them 8 for 42 - loss
2011 Vs Redskins us 9 for 65, them 10 for 96 - loss
I quit looking.
I see what you did thereAt this point give me

Great News, But he should be named "NFL Defensive Player of the Week" EVERY Week!!Donald has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
We did once, that was good for 23 yards, did it with Benny on 3rd down. Probably won't see a play like that for a year or two.Have we even run from a 3wr set? I think I remember one run from a 4wr or a 3wr and TE (with them split wide) set. I'd like to see a few runs without a second TE or FB there to switch things up.
Yes you can. You absolutely can -- and should.
When I played, 35 years ago, you were accountable for yourself. If a play failed, you were going to know if you were a part of why that play failed. Our coaches didn't worry about putting pressure on us or burdening us by holding us to a standard of excellence. I'm seeing this mama-bear philosophy creep into kids' sports more and more and more lately, and it's kinda disturbing. Why wouldn't a kid benefit from striving for, and achieving, excellence? If you're held accountable along the way, then so what? Welcome to life-prep. Because that's gonna happen a ton when you're an adult.
@-X- I tend to agree. Coaches can point out mistakes as long as they work with the kid to correct it, there isn't a reason to hide from a mistake in sports that doesn't get it fixed.
I noticed that too, "the next game is the one that really matters," well that aint the case with LA Baby, this game is THE only one that matters, you lose. Nothing like leaving a mental excuse to lose a game when things don't go your way.LeSean sounds like he's looking past the Rams, to their Following weeks divisional game. BIG mistake looking past your present opponent!! The Rams will Kick your Tail if you don't watch out! Donald and Brockers will crush you IF you try coming up the middle on them!!
Our o-line has not held their blocks long enough for Gurley to make it one step past the line of scrimmage on average. The blocking schemes are good, our guys are getting physically dominated consistently across the board, except for Havenstien, but he sucks because he can't block 9 guys at once. The o-line is going to have to play better, there is no reason for this! Too many mental mistakes and not physical enough, they are getting their asses handed to them play after play.wow - what is it with Rams fans and seeing something half empty all the time - I know we've been ranked #31 by PFF this week (https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-ranking-all-32-nfl-offensive-lines-entering-week-5-2/) between the Seahawks (3-1) and the Vikings (4-0) but then again the Titans (1-4).
I really think we're doing ok considering how much the opposition are stacking the box, our QB isn't being driven into the ground like past QBs have, Case hasn't been sacked too often (8 - I think) remember the hits Sam used to take, or that hit on Floes at GB - ok, so our run game isn't clicking (yet) you can't put that down to the O-line alone.
GRob has improved this offseason, even though he still has his haters. I like our young o-line, IMO, they'll only get better.
Johnny Heckker says Hi.Number one steal has to be Gaines!
OMG it's not even a comparison how Ogletree looks at the opposing QB and is given a personal foul! It's f'n ridiculous! I screamed at my TV for 10 f'n minutes after the last one! I can rant one this for 12 years...
Anyways, I don't know about Robinson, that dude is below par in everything, pass and run blocking. I actually thought he was better the last several years as a run blocker than pass blocking but this year it seems he's getting beat like a drum and for a #2 overall pick that's donskies. I really think in a phone booth which is a guard position he might be able to dominate with his size. Just seems like the guy really hasn't developed much from what they hoped he would be, not even close.
Have you seen the replay? Some umps were jogging off the field right after the play ended.from what I understand, the Reds showed no interest in challenging the call in the allotted time which is why the umps left the field.
They must have a Patriots game to referee this weekend
