What I don't understand is it when someone doesn't buy into the idea of what the Rams did by drafting Simpson is that so wrong? The Rams are not infallible and history isn't on Simpson's side in terms of college experience. On the flip side, the Rams obviously deserve the chance to coach the kid up to show its the right move. Is it the right move though? Let's not kid ourselves, none of us obviously know that part including the Rams. The answer will come in due time. People are always going to have different ideas and never completely agree on a direction taken. Hoping that we do is basically beating your head against a wall. I think what most can agree on is to root the Rams on even if we don't agree with all their moves. I know that's what I'm doing. Lastly, not trying to say this in a bad or insulting way at all, but I think you should take your own advice and relax, Simpson is a Ram. Time to enjoy the rest of the ride and ignore the media. They are always talking shit and hypotheticals. That's a never ending cycle.
Sorry. But weren't you the one bringing up what others will say about the pick - including outsiders?

Yes basically saying it isn't going to go away.....was I wrong? My back and forth with people was about it being a never ending discussion that was going to rear its head over and over. I've said plenty of times I've chosen to focus on rooting the Rams on despite what is being talked about because factually, Simpson being a Ram isn't changing. Apparently I've been spot on with my assessment (not that's its earth shattering) about how these conversations would carry on.....so what is exactly is your point?

That you seemed overly concerned about it and quite animated over what others would say - yet now you're telling someone else to relax and ignore it.

He didnt play against 1st stringers and the first half against the Chargers 2's, he was not good
I am fairly positive he played against some 1st stringers against the Chargers and he looked okay on his first couple drives that game.

Unfortunately I can't find the replay to verify what I am saying.

Edit - found it and he got a TD on the first drive. Not sure what more you want from him on the first drive.

2nd drive - he missed a pass on 3rd and 3

3rd Drive - they drove the length of the field and went for it on 4th down and 3 and missed. I wouldn't call that not good especially fi McVay kicked a FG instead.

And it might have been the 1st stringers in the 1st game that I am thinking of.
And he got 2 TDs on his first 2 drives against the Cowboys.

I really think you were thinking of the 2024 preseason when he sucked.

I'm actually not being animated at all, just discussing stuff as usual. I respond a lot because well its a board. You seem to take in what I say way too deeply pretty often lately. Again, you're off your mark so I guess you're being consistent there. I think we should be, doesn't mean everyone will be, past the point of worrying about liking/disliking the pick. We can't control the narratives out there so I wish people didn't let those narratives get them. I'm simply trying to say lets get back together and to enjoying the process while rooting people on. Is that really a bothersome thing to you? Weird if it is.

Okay - he did two interceptions in two games. That's not good but his other stats were pretty damn good.
