Good news.

We still need to draft some young talent at the position, though: Witherspoon turns 30 this Friday, and Williams has just turned 32.

Great news, I would have liked to see a 2 or possible 3 year with not a lot of cap hit in the 3rd year. But I get it he's 29, and they probably don't want to tie themselves up to a longer term contract with an older CB.

Hell yes! Now I want a round 1-2 corner. Someone like Mitchell or Sauce, a first year pro bowl/all pro kind of guy

I'm happy to see this signing. It really feels as though we are just another CB and LB (or 2) away from having the potential of being a Top 10 (or better) defense. I'm really excited to watch this squad grow.

I love that they'll have so much continuity on defense this year, especially in the secondary. Shula did an excellent job with the group last year, all things considered.. and they'll be able to build on that.. adding even more coverages.

Really sets you up well for going multiple directions in the draft. No painfully glaring need anywhere on the roster at the moment.

Rams seem to be taking care of some needs during this second phase of free agency with the signings of Witherspoon and Landman.

Nice. Draft is wide open now I'd say. My priority is still CB and Tackle at this point but not going to be forced into one at least.

They definitely set it up for BPA or... taking a swing at the QB position early...

...or moving up and sacrificing picks for a real difference maker...not sure there are many in this draft however, as I think Warren is just out of their reach.

This is fantastic news. Akhello played out of his mind in the Viking playoff game.

I'll say it again: Akhello is a good player with the world's worst agent.

Rams have gotten solid play from him on dirt cheap contracts.

This offseason’s moves seem to be executed with more precision (careful use of cap, orderly, no panic, no real swings and misses, tough but logical decisions, etc) than past ones. At this point my guess in the draft is for quality depth (emphasis on quality). As such I’m guessing trading down from R1.26 unless one of their top prospects falls to them to get 2 top 75 picks. Then let the draft come to them and draft BPA as they don’t have any glaring needs but could use help in many positions. Selfishly, I would like to see them beef up CB and ILB though.

This is what I keep coming back to. Are they setting themselves up to take a QB early? We could use upgrades at several positions but all of the acute 2025 needs are pretty much addressed. If there was ever a time to draft a future QB it's now. Just wish that this QB class was stronger.

They could be planning to trade down for picks for NEXT year's draft...
