Dominate - intransitive verb
  1. To control, govern, or rule by superior authority or power.

Dominant - adjective
  1. Exercising the most power, control, or influence
To be fair Fields pronounced dominant and Dales misquoted him. Just making sure the grammar police arrest the right suspect here lol.

Listening to Cossel, I feel strongly that we should wait on a WR. There are so many who fit our scheme deep into round 3. As he says, they come in all different flavours, X Z RAC inside/outside flex

With a trade down to the 20s, Omar Cooper and KC Concept would pick up 30 to 40 receptions minimum in our offense. Both could be more successful than Tyson because McVay will scheme them open and they both have the chops and plenty of juice

That’s not to say I wouldn’t trade up for a difference maker, especially if Sonny Styles is in reach! Can you imagine this defense with him in it?!

Im a huge fan of Rodriguez too if we did trade with someone for a 2027 first at the back end of round one early two. Either of those two LBs would elevate our defense day one. OK, Styles looks special both on film and in shorts! We are talking generational talent and one heck of a football player with pedigree, but Rodriguez is a hell of a prospect too and his film might be even better

If we do not trade up/down, I’m coming round to the idea of taking the second TE from Oregon or another CB at 13. Another impact CB would put this defense over the top. We could trade Parkinson whose value will never be this high again. Sadiq is a better blocker and it’s not even close across the rest of the metrics and tape

As I look at it, 13 is looking like a sweet spot to be in range of a difference maker or trade partner. IMO there are WRs who will make a difference available later is all.

When you have the kind of FA that we did, it screams trade in round 1 and pick 13 is far from an unlucky spot this year

Great Sonny Styles point. I also feel Caleb Downs fits the bill in the same vein. Too damn good.

Agreed. I am not sure Sonny is a generational talent, but no doubt he's one hell of a player, in a position where we have outstanding players

Where are you on Avril Reese? I love the way he takes on blocks. Is he an MLB or Edge? Or does that matter in our scheme? He said that he wants to play Edge (probably due to a second contract being much bigger)

Can't say I'm really looking at him closely, due to him being out of our range mainly. Styles and Downs have my interest as a potential surprise.

Calling my shot right now, Rams walk away with KC Concepcion at some point in the teens next month but not at 13.
Possible trade down with Carolina at 19, who trades up for an Offensive Tackle. But I could see the Rams taking Omar Cooper, Jr., over Concepcion, but I do like the Aggie alum very, very much.

Snead is so good at finding Receivers later in the draft. We may sit at 13 and take the top player on our board or a possible trade down. I've seen a scenario where we trade with the pats and move down to 31 and pick up a 3rd and a 2027 1st.

Outside of Nacua, who are you talking about?

Josh Reynolds was a fourth round pick but that was nine years ago and he went at #117 overall.
After the Rams' pick late in Round 3 (#93) they are not scheduled to pick again until the high-200s.

I like Mumpfield and Whittington but I don't view either as even an average starter should there be an injury.

Kupp im the 3rd was a great one.

IMO, Mumpfield lacked the ability to separate and Whittington looked a tad stiff running his routes, which makes some sense because he is a converted running back. Need more of Whittington on the jet sweeps plus Mumpfield in the slot to create the separation.

The Rams know what they have in Whittington. Mumpfield flashed some last year in limited usage but he gets another year to carve out a deeper role. Rams still need a WR 2B this year. I’d like a top rookie in the mix for that role.

The poster I responded to, said ‘later in the Draft’.

Kupp was a high 3rd round pick.
#69 overall. I don’t consider that to be ‘later’ in a draft.

Okay, but its a LITTLE later, but not what you meant, understood.

I guess I view any top-100 draft choices (Rounds 1-3) as quality picks, where a team needs a fairly-high success-rate (meaning solid players or better). To me, 'Later in the Draft' suggests rounds 4-7.

If #69 overall (where Kupp was selected) constitutes 'later in the Draft', then the Rams' 2nd round pick (#61) would need to be compared to Van Jefferson and TuTu Atwell, who were both selected #57 overall.
