Wetjen is ridiculous man. He and Heidenreich are similar to my eye. Guys who are going to help you on teams, and maybe boost the occasional jet sweep or screen. But he really has natural skills on returns.

He seems to finish off blocks really well, and is pretty solid with the YAC aspect of his game. He can go up and get the ball, and has some speed as well.
I really don't want to see him in SF or Seattle, like others here have posted, and be the next George Kittle who causes us pain in big games.
From what I've read, KS is also pretty sharp regarding understanding what everyone else's job is when it comes to executing the offense. He sounds like a McVay type of player, to me.
But then, I'll defer to the draft wonks on this board for their educated takes (sometimes) ......... the guys who spend way more time doing their pre-draft talent evaluations than I do.
I'm just here to enjoy the banter, anyhow. :clinkingbeer:

After he ran his 40 & skills at the combine he really improved his draft status.I’m not sure what direction SEAN MCVAY wants to go.

Les Snead always try’s & does a GREAT JOB in finding out a players Draft Value. The hard part might be figuring it all out & who is The Best Player Available.

Usually The Rams draft with a purpose & frame the direction they want to go personnel wise. It’s going to be interesting.

IMO The Rams have a lot of depth. On the other hand they really don’t & need to think about WINNING NOW,but then again replenish.
The more you look at the roster the more you can see bigger holes.
The DB/CB looks like the biggest needs. Forbes should be an improvement with another Offseason. He got some seriously valuable experience. He has a lot of game tape he can go back & learn from.
Ahkello might be worth bringing back, because value, experience,& leadership wise he still has a lot to give back to the(Rams) game.He is young in football years and has something to prove to himself.
Durant is a RAM,he deserves to get paid true value. He maybe is only a rotational CB in the NFL ? That might be the issue.
Then The Rams need a shutdown CB & are in that position to Draft 1.
There are a couple safeties that could be franchise players & what Chris Shula really needs.

SO maybe 13 personnel & give Higbee & The TE squad another chance to improve on what The 2025 season brought. They add a lot to the running game.

Agree whole heartedly with this tactic.
This is why I'm thinking that they'll add a solid WO (Evans?) for a couple of seasons, like DA did, and probably a corner (McDuffie or Watson?) to be the lock down type corner.
We can't count on rookies at these positions to be what we need there on day one, although they could be.
All the better if that happens, IMO.

With Sadiq in the fold, we'd likely have one of the best trios of TE's on the field at the same time (in the 13 package) as anyone with both blocking and receiving skills being considered. And if the Rams were to add a WO or 2, along with some DB help as I have previously posed, I believe that we'd be sitting pretty good at these positions of need to dethrone the chickens.
I'd still like to see us acquire a rangy 3 down LB, along with a run stuffing DT pick or FA, to spell Poona occasionally.

Sadiq won’t get past KC, IMO. :angry:It feels like Brock Bowers all over again… I really wanted that dude.

I like Sadiq but here's the thing, he has similar issues catching the ball as Ferguson (makes one wonder about the coaching at Oregon). Both seem to have had issues with concentration drops - Fergy with clap attack catches (need to watch more Sadiq to see if he clap attacks).

Think he's a guy who Rams will have to do a bit of homework on, lot to like but why wasn't he more highly thought. I don't want to fall in combine love with a guy who might have issues running a fuller route tree and catching the ball.

I noticed that watching some Oregon games this past year - he had some hand issues.

I don’t know if that was just a random thing that I encountered watching or if it’s a valid issue with him. If the latter, maybe it’s fixable with better coaching idk.

He’s incredibly enticing. But not a slam dunk certain TE prospect like bowers or Warren.

Or Loveland! (who was awesome last year)

Yeah, I think all three of them would be ranked higher than Sadiq if they were in this years draft class.

Sadiq still slots further into the teens for me in this draft but can easily see him going as high as 13. As of right now, I absolutely believe Rams will have a slew of pass catchers to pick from at 13 if they so desire including Sadiq.

My arm chair diagnosing of Fergy this season is that he's not AGGRESSIVE enough towards the ball in contested catch situations (seems to have mostly eliminated clap attack problems) this last year with the Rams, I wonder if that's an issue with Sadiq too.
