I saw that interview. He doesn’t “sound” like someone the Rams would be high on.
I... have to agree. I don't really care if someone has a southern California, southern American, Boston, Australian whatever accent but my guy seems to be feeling himself just a bit too much in his interviews lol. Doesn't exactly leave the best first impression.

People writing off Lemon for that short clip should watch the entire interview. It’s much different from that clip. Seems like he’s trying to look at people while talking down to the mic, which gives off that creepy look. Seems like a team first guy. I’ll admit, I didn’t watch the entire thing, but I watched enough to know that that viral clip is not what the interview went like

Fields hands grew a bit lol. Good for him to get it to the 9 inch spot. Great arm length. I’m now back in the fields bandwagon a bit.

Conversely, even though lemon is 5’11. I don’t like his hand and arm measurements. Not sure I want him at 13 when there are so many others later on (bigger WRs)

I think Fields is one of many excellent wideouts in this draft of course. But I also think too much was made of his big deep ball catch Senior Bowl week. And he's got small hands for his size no matter how much he stretches them.

If we end up in round 3 looking at wideouts and both Fields and Lane are on the board, I would take Lane. Lane gets a lot of shit in his scouting reports but I watched that kid make catches other players cannot make. There's a lot of them. Difference in Fields hands to Lane's hands are night and day.

Dude, come on. You're putting way too much stock in the Underwear Olympics. If you think Lane is a better prospect, that's fine. But hand size is a silly justification. His tape from real games is full of impressive catches, including this one:

Two things here.

First I didn't say Fields can't make great catches. He does have strong tape. But I think he's very much in that Lane range and that's why I used Lane as an example. They're quite comparable to my eye. And I said that because I've seen people talking Fields into earlier ranges where I think it's a bit too related to that catch in the Senior Bowl, as many of these mediots do not take time to watch games.

Second his hands are small. In a class this talented there's a lot of options, so that's going to affect where he goes. Where that is appropriate to what I was saying is that it's a reason he's in that range with Lane and some others who have things they need to work on. Lane's hands I think are special. Fields overcomes his hand size.

I doubt it will in a meaningful way. He measured in with 9 inch hands. He has long arms, a huge catch radius, and a large sample size of contested catches in college. But I'm high on Fields because of his movement skills. His agility is rare for a 6'5" 220 pound WR. He's big, physical, and makes plenty of contested catches. But he can also separate on slants and digs because he's agile and explosive. And he can make guys miss after the catch, which doesn't hurt in our O. The one thing he's missing is that extra gear to separate deep, but he compensates for that with size, physicality, and the ability to win contested catches down the field.
