Which two wideouts will step up to help "Gurley" when he steps to the field?

JMHO, But I think Quick and Britt/Givens going Deep at the same time would help Gurley a Lot!:D

Agree with @LACHAMP46 .

A lot of love for Bailey, but I don't see him breaking out. He's our posession receiver. He doesn't seem to have as big of a connection with Foles either. Our big package is going to rock people this season. Quick, Britt, and Cook all on the field with Gurley in the back field. It's the perfect formation to take advantage of mismatches in defensive alignment, too.

This thread has a lot of "interesting quotation mark usage."

I don't know who will open the game up, Britt, Quick, and Cook probably, but TA is the best downfield blocker. He has the speed to get in front and the willingness to throw the block.

I wish our wideouts could block like Hines Ward. Big guys like Britt and Quick should maul some DBs.

I'll go with Quick and Cook. Those 2 can stretch the D. Too bad they're not better blockers.

Austin in the sense that when he's on the field teams really pay attention to him and assign multiple people to him.

Cignetti certainly has toys to play with!

This is "Big Willie". Personally I don't think we can gauge our receivers on past performance because our QB play and play calling were less than ideal. This year offers a new opportunity to reverse those two problems. I think Britt, Quick, Bailey, and Cook all have 50+ catches by the end of the year; meaning they've all stepped up.

I'm going with Quick and Bailey but I hate the whole premise. They all need to be proficient and work as a unit, depending on one or two guys is just asking for trouble.

Im not sure we have that "one guy" (had to lol) that can do that. Best way to open it up is a team effort. Foles needs time from the line and the receivers need time from the line to run routes. A passing game that can threaten the edges and deep zone will open any run game.

So my answer is that guy would have to be the: Offensive Line.

If you are counting TEs, I'm going to say Harkey. Big boy is going to be Gurley's BFF. Other than that, I really think it is going to be a WR by committee approach. I think Quick is going to be the big hitter with Baily being the go to guy on third and mediums and check downs. I hope Britt keeps his head in the game cuz if he does, he and Quick could be a pretty lethal tandem.

I gave a like and a quote...

I see the "WR by committee approach" too with Quick and Britt seeing more time. You nailed Baily's contribution as well. Austin and Givens will get quick hitters and stretch the field deep.

It will be interesting to see how much playing time Harkey gets.

Will Harkey and Kendricks get much time together with Gurley?

Gurley, Harkey, Kendricks, Britt and Quick would be a power run lineup that could also be a very effective passing lineup as well!

This is JackDRams. I'm gonna go with Cook and Britt. Cook seems to have great chemistry with Foles. Britt was much better last year then his stats showed. We have a QB that can actually throw now.
That actually made me snort (out loud).
Is there like an anagram for that? Like, instead of LOL, I can just type SOL?

Oh wait. That one's already taken.

And we could put this guy on third base.

This is Airwarner, I think the Receivers that have been here two and three years should be able to step by the second or third game of the regular season to help open up the offense so he can blow this run game out of the water? Who do you guys think that will step up? Shout out to0 "X" its been an while how have you been dude. I wanna hear from you guys Ok?

The Rams will have every opportunity to blow opposing DBs out of the water just as they have since the end of Marc Bulgers career. Regardless of the QB defenses have not changed their approach. That's why Foles is here. The Rams have the talent at WR and they now have a QB who can get them the ball.

I guarantee you the Rams won't just run the ball opening day. They will attack the Seahawks

I suppose the answer to your question is ... It will take the online playing solidly to make that happen. If they can play up to the level that they did at home the last two years with a better QB like Foles under center we should be good.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

IMO Bailey is 3rd behind Quick and Britt. He's our best slot receiver tho

I like the Rams receivers love the upside of all of them. The one I really question is Cook. I don't think he is reliable. Has he ever made a tough play? I guess we will have to see it play out but my fear is they want to feature him and he just is not that kind of player
