Too lazy too look it up but I think GZ was like 40% in the 40-49 range which was bottom of the league.

.

I'm all aboard the letting weddle and Matthews go to keep Littleton. Not sure that's even enough to keep him. He may be making $15m+ on his new contract.

Hope we keep Littleton and dump Fowler. I think Fowler's production is owed in large part to AD.

As far as I'm concerned they can let them all walk and take the comp picks. I am sick an tired of them handing out these big contracts to players and watching their play decline. Bring in guys that are hungry and not rich and complacent.

Yeah he stunk this year. He ranked 28th in FG% AT 73%. Missed 7 kicks inside of 50 yards. I'd imagine they stick with him and hope he bounces back.

He is 46-60 career from that range. 5/11 this year. So previously he was 41/49.

If you want to cut him for this years performance there is a LONG LIST of players that had down years too. And ALL of them make WAY more money than he does.

Gurley? Goff? Cooks? We could go on.

He was 5/7 from over 50 which is excellent.

GZ is not this teams problem and his contract is not causing cap issues.

It's a couple of million a year.

Please..........

I'd actually let Littleton walk. I look at inside LBs like RBs. Unless you have a truly elite, special player at that spot, they're not worth the big money contract. There are just too many available replacements at those positions that can give you at least solid play. Littleton has been very good these last couple of years but he hasn't been such a game changer that we need to give him a giant contract. The Ravens let Mosely walk last offseason and used their money wisely elsewhere [Earl Thomas, Ingram]. We're better off investing our money in the o-line, secondary and pass rush. I have confidence we can get at least good inside linebacker play without paying huge money for it.

If the NFL is a free market and Littleton's worth is at a certain value, how can there be numerous similar players at a lower cost?

Well, rookies for one. Then you have players who haven't been given the chance to start yet. Just like how Littleton sat behind Ogletree for a couple of years.

Is Fowler even a good player on his own or is he simply benefiting from everyone blocking Donald?

He's a good player in his own right, it's not as if his sacks were coming on free runs to the QB. He had the highest sack total ever of a player playing alongside Donald.

Good on Fowler, he did exactly what a player hopes to do on a 1 year deal [Suh was less successful last year]; it's just that finishing top 10 in the league in sacks as a 25 year old likely means he's too expensive for us going forward.

Not why for the rams but why would the players restructure the rams payed them cause they earned it

Restructure doesn't mean the player receives less money, but it can allow a team to reduce next seasons CAP by converting roster bonus money so that it is spread out for the length of the contract rather than all being paid in 2020. Goff's $110mil. guaranteed money remains the same. It may even benefit Goff with his taxes. jmo.

Maybe they earned it if they found the cure for cancer, but let's face facts they are just playing a game. How much would they be worth if all us fans just stopped watching football. I just canceled my Direct TV today and that BS NFL Sunday ticket.
