I gotta say, I'm buying Trinidad Chambliss as a NFL QB.
I like how his OC Charlie Weis Jr, described him as a more athletic Baker Mayfield. That's apparently what he told Dusty Dvorack earlier this year prior to ESPN doing their Arkansas gane, his first start.

Yeah, he entered the portal, but he is supposedly not ruling out the draft. That's what I had saw reported. Could come down to weighing his NIL offers vs NFL feedback.

Scouting view from my couch on New Year's Day...

Mendoza has the "IT" factor, in spades. Has a way of coming up clutch in big moments. Showed some great situational awareness on his runs. Some great throws across his body. Fiery competitor. This game sealed him as the #1 pick in the draft.

Moore is young and has a ton of upside, but to my eye looks like he is clearly behind Mendoza. A mix of beautiful passes and off-target throws. Can stare down receivers. Pocket awareness is mediocre. Probably will become a decent pro but doesn't look "elite" like Mendoza.

Simpson hurt his draft stock big-time. Looks tiny out there (especially compared to his backup!) Really a question mark whether he can even be an NFL starter. And that injury will scare the crap out of teams.

As someone said above, this ^^ is former scout Daniel Kelly. The question is whether he actually knows anything.
I've posted his stuff on Trey Lance and Caleb Williams before. Kelly is "good" at criticizing prospects - at least he's entertaining with his criticism. With the failure rate of drafted QBs, there's seemingly an "aura" of correctness about his criticism.
So how is he at picking "good" prospects? Picking QBs who don't make it is the easy part, how is he at the hard part of picking winning prospects?

I think Giovanni Carmazzi was a big pick for him. More recently, in a draft featuring Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Bo Nix, Kelly picked:

This guy is Daniel Kelly, who worked for four years as a scout for the Jets :sick2: and now no longer has a job as a scout.
Never heard of the guy and don't care about his opinion tbh. I heard McShay mention a post about it and found d it. Like others said some of the stuff is legit, some is legit and some can and has been said about most qb prospects.

I did laugh at his pinned tweet. It's Kiper Jr responding to his tweet about Shedur Sanders draft fall last year.

Well, it says he talked to ESPN about it. So I would think they are reporting his intentions.
They report a lot of things and it may be true. But again his pinned social media post says he's going to the portal, nothing at all from him about waiting for something about the draft. I'm just conveying his words. I'd love to see an article from his interview with quotes or a video. Right now the best source for info on him is what he's putting out there.

I don't know which is right or wrong, I just know what he's said to everyone about this.

You just can't admit he is also considering the draft because you claimed he wasnt. Carry on.

IIRC, declaring for the Draft will supersede any transfer, I dont know how it affects a signed NIL deal though

I've not paid any attention to him before, nor do I know what his stats are, but he sure caught my eye last night against a tough Georgia defense.
Quick decision making, elusive in the pocket, and has the arm and the accuracy to make those tough throws under duress and on the run.
He led his team on a game winning drive as well.
Definitely worth another look.
