Agreed. Though maybe he'll have a couple underwhelming games at the end of the year. The one thing in our favor with him is that he doesn't seem to have a great arm. So when the QB workouts happen if that is true teams may cool on him with that team groupthink.

I think we need him to slide to around 10. But if the move up target spot at let's say 5-8 isn't in love with Simpson or someone else then maybe we can get in there.

I don't look at him like Mendoza, who I think his size and talent will put him in that top range. Simpson's not really that QB who will wow teams in person. He's just got some great pocket presence and throwing skills rather than the whole physical package. So it's possible he gets squeezed out but yeah it would probably require an unimpressive finish down the stretch.
Yes Mendoza seems to be the better Prospect and his 3-inch advantage in height doesn't hurt and he also has a better arm. Simpson might have a better brain but that's also debatable. Dante Moore also remains an intriguing Prospect as does Sam Levaitt.

Yeah Dante Moore definitely has more of a riser skill set teams are looking for than Simpson. If he plays well the rest of the way and kills his workout he's a definite possibility for that top range.

I need to watch more of Leavitt.

I agree, Mendoza is bigger, stronger and is underrated in his athleticism. I am hoping when Indiana plays Ohio State, he disintegrates, however, I don't expect that to happen. Simpson seems to be a McVay type of QB, but if Alabama goes on a run, then that will catapult him and the Saints could come marching in.

I believe most Ram fans would sign up for this mock, although I expect the Rams to be drafting at 32 and not 26.

draft a QB4? why would the Rams do that? the jury is still out on Cam Ward. But look at Jaxson Dart. You draft these kids to be QB1, and if you hit on a good one, you're set for 10+ years. We HAVE to get one next year. sitting for a year under Staff & Grappolo would be ideal for a rookie. Getting a FA QB1 means you're shipping Staff off, and he's good for at least 1 more year.
One team's QB 4 could be another team's QB one. The experts QB one isn't always the one that does best.

If Stafford looks great throughout this year, do the Rams really use those any of those 1st round picks on a QB? I'd personally hope the Falcons lose enough where we get a high enough pick for WR Jordyn Tyson. Also I'd love to get Jeremyiah Love too. Those 2 would infuse 2 nasty ass weapons to pair with Stafford along with the hope that Ferguson develops even further. To me, that would make our offense way more potent.

Then you trade Corum for a mid round pick to get more draft capital.

Trade both number one picks for Joe Burrow?
It doesn’t work for Cincinnati from a salary cap point of view.

HOWEVER … if 2026 comes and goes … AND … the Bengals fail to make the playoffs for the 4th straight season … THEN … I could see a 30-year old Joe Burrow requesting a trade.

In 2027, Cincinnati would not take a brutal cap hit by moving Burrow.
