I doubt the Titans move on. But if they're selling him for pennies on the dollar, yeah, I'd be open to it. I'd still love for us to get our hands on LaNorris Sellers.
LaNorris Sellers is my choice as well. He's an absolute unicorn when it comes to physical gifts; he just has had a shitty offensive line, and the rest of his team haven't helped him much either.

Not me. Im not sure Ward "has it."

Rather gamble on a Ty Simpson or Jayden Maiava or John Mateer. Dont really like Ward, think Dart will have better career.
Agree, but they may not be gettable depending how many of the underclassmen come out.

The Jets, Dolphins, Saints, & Browns all might take QBs. Maybe even the Titans. So you might have a draft like 24', where 4 or 5 QBs go in the first 7 or 8 picks. So just thinking of other potential scenarios.

Just dont think Ward will be a successful NFL Quarterback. If we DO go the veteran or NFL Quarterback route over Draft route my options would include, the loser of the Purdy/Mac Jones battle, or pie-in-the-sky Burrow or Lamar (or Lawrence?) trade.

Failing that i would Draft a guy. But you are correct in that Ward is at least a good idea not to be dismissed out of hand.

SF is stuck with Purdy (for better or worse) for the next few years. His guaranteed money has barely kicked in. Next year, he’s got over a $90M dead cap hit. It’s not even a consideration until 2028 when it’s over $38M. He’s likely there until 2029-2030. He even has a no trade clause too.

Okay. So Mac Jones then is a veteran candidate.

There’s just no way the Rams pass up a chance to draft a QB
Doesn’t matter if Stafford is back or not (I think he will be btw)
He WILL be. Lets make something clear, the Drafted Rams Quarterback from the 26 Draft is not playing til 27 at the earliest, and 28 if necessary. You STILL take a QB in 26 Draft (if you love one)

I just fear they may be drafting too late, with too many teams ahead of them needing QBs. QBs often get pushed up the board so you may be stuck with QB 4 or 5 as being the only ones that are gettable.

Rams pick right now is at 24, Falcons pick is at 14. So far it looks about as expected. Doubt we're gonna pick too high, and assuming the Falcons pick slides a bit the wrong direction our trade up range is probably around 10ish depending on the quantity of that top group.

There's a long way to go, but from what I've seen so far of this QB class I figure the following will be off the board:

:helmet: Mendoza's not gonna last on the board because of his size and throwing ability. He's got the right mentality, and I think he has the coaching that gives him a strong chance to finish well.

:helmet:Simpson has probably been the most consistent, question for me is whether he's really 6'2" as that matters to me up top in those high draft slots. But assuming that he's got the right stuff and I know McVay will like his game as he can stretch it. He's not gonna last long enough for us though, even if he is a little shorter than listed. Unless he finishes poorly but I don't think that's gonna happen with that Bama team.

There will undoubtedly be one or maybe a couple more who end up slotting higher and jumping into that group, as teams reach like crazy for QBs. But what I like about this class is there's a lot of options for that "he's gonna slide to round 2" group compared to most years. And that, my friends, is where McVay is going to find his QBotF.

But doesn't picks 24 AND 14 equate to a Top 5 pick for a team in that range that is NOT taking a Quarterback???!!!

Anyways, i believe OUR pick is going to be significantly lower than 24.

I wouldn't give up a bluechip prospect for those two picks, personally. So this is why I mentioned the bluechips. I think for us to jump into the Top 5, which generally is going to have a bluechip player sitting there, would require both those first rounders (because our own pick is basically an early round 2) and probably our 2027 first round pick.

Now if Atlanta tanks and that pick ends up being in the 8-10 range, then I think we have more of a chance to move up into top 5. But convincing a team to pass up on a bluechip value prospect is always going to be tough. This is why I think, as the picks are currently aligned at least, that we're looking at after those bluechips.

Some years there's more of those than other years of course. No idea how many are in this draft. But wherever that change in quality happens, that's probably our target range barring us ending up with a higher pick value due to Atlanta disintegrating.
