"I was 5'6" and 120 lbs when I hit college" ~ LaNorris SnellingYeah, I think Taylen Green has a real shot of being special. You can't teach 6'6", 230 lbs. and 4.5 speed. I really liked the kid's game when Mizzou played Arkansas.

There's a difference in a Goff talent vs one of those bluechip QBs who sometimes grace that 1 overall spot.
Agreed. If Goff was a blue chip talent the titans would have never traded with the Rams, especially down to the #15 slot.
And do what about QB?I realize the thread topic; and appreciate the need for a QB of the future.
However, I keep coming-back to the Rams being in a position of drafting one of the top-two WRs, CBs or OTs with the higher of the two first round picks; and one of the top 3-to-4 WRs, CBs or OTs with the other #1 pick.
2 1stsI think they are better than Goff was as the #1 Pick and he rated three first rounders, plus.
That was my point though, there was NO chance Dallas would trade Luka, but they did. They are both equally improbable.
There is no chance to Bengals trade Burrow
Still a pipe dream.Well, of course.
But there is a history of Arch Manning's uncle Eli refusing to play for a team that drafted him. With multiple first round picks, this should put the Rams in a position to draft whoever they want... Arch could help direct the process if he wanted....
No Idea. And do what about QB?
Right. So we can hope for Patrick Mahomes then. That was my point though, there was NO chance Dallas would trade Luka, but they did.
Likely Burrow gets traded? NO, I agree with you but werid things happen sometimes.
Kurt Warner and Joe Montana? Really reaching. What if Burrow refuses to play anymore for Cincinnati and forces a trade? things happen in sports. Nothing is guaranteed. See Kurt Warner and Joe Montana.
I'm not dreaming of this fantasy coming true... just thinking that anything can happen in sports. Or in life, as we have all experienced.Kurt Warner and Joe Montana? Really reaching.
Kurt Warner. Joe Montana and Peyton Manning examples all have common threads.
Mid-to late 30’s players who missed a season due to injury, and upon their return the team had decided to move forward in another direction.
So unless Burrow can magically age 5-7 years, miss next year with an injury and Browning replaces him with HOF level, it’s really no comparison.
I guess those who dream of this fantasy coming thru can wish for a near career ending injury for Burrow.
I quoted a `story that said 3 firsts...*shrugs2 1sts

Yup. Stetson Bennett could lead the Rams to a Superbowl this season. I mean, anything can happen right?I'm not dreaming of this fantasy coming true... just thinking that anything can happen in sports. Or in life, as we have all experienced.
It can be doneEven if he did, the Rams would have no shot at him. (Assuming that Atlanta doesnt shit the bed)
Kurt Warner says "hello".Yup. Stetson Bennett could lead the Rams to a Superbowl this season. I mean, anything can happen right?
This could go either way here as Arch's legs and feet are more similar to his grandfather Archie then Peyton or Eli, he is a far better athlete then either of his Uncle's. Also he was a five star recruit, he was the top ranked player of the 2023 draft class and I understand you get some of that by name, but not all of it.On a side note, there's also a chance that Manning really isn't that good a QB. Sure, he's a Manning, but Eli was too and he wasn't nearly as good as Peyton, IMO. Arch might not even be nearly as good as Eli.
That all sounds nice but, picking 32 for the next 3 seasons isn't going to get us a QB successor. Probably need to strike when we have the ammo. No WR, CB, OT, etc is going to be more valuable to us then a QB successor. All the better that they get to sit the bench and learn from Staff.I realize the thread topic; and appreciate the need for a QB of the future.
