Pay him. We don't have a chance at repeating without him, he's that good.

I can tell you on the Cardinal forum, they are praying that AD leaves the NFC West. As for the ideas I tried to express, they have the same conversation about us, as far as the bottom falling out of the team and trying to mock us for being stupid for selling our future away. Of course the answer always is, wouldn't you do the same to win a Super Bowl? I am just a fly on the wall during these discussions because my commenting about such things is taken wrong by some posters, You see, I am a thoughtful troll.

It’s too late. I’m a goner. That SB win was too sublime. I’m an admitted SB junkie now and don’t care about the long term toll or how long I will last as long as I get another SB hit soon. It’s an itch that goes all the way to the bone.

Even worse, AD gets big deal, leaves in 3 yrs with McVay and the Rams are left with the fake yrs added to AD's contract and a resulting bad cap situation and a new coach.
not before McVay and Snead hock all of the next 6 years first round picks...

I am 100% confident a deal gets done.

I just don’t care for the business side in cases like Donald, and regardless the GOAT there are limits.

This engine (present day Rams) is all McVay and Snead. But having Donald on the team makes their job easier, that’s for sure.

As for which scenario in the OP… I do my best to keep Donald.

I’d rather have 1 SB and long term sustained success plus another SB maybe 10 years from now…..rather than 2 SB’s now and then we fall off the map for another 15 or 20 years
This.
I watch the Rams every Sunday, not every February.

If those are the two choices, I agree. However, there’s a lot in the middle between those two extremes.

I brought this up on another site, I want a mauling AD not a guy thinking about retiring. Players when they get FU money and get Der and have a family that is growing up priorities change.

First I want him to stay but management need to know what AD they are getting and .ake an offer accordingly. Short term to assess if he still world-class motivated since he wants the most $.

Or I would trade him for an elite player and 2 #1 draft picks from a team most likely to be really bad. Because their #1 will be most likely top 5 we can easily get this type of a deal. I would not trade him to a remote contender like they did with Woods no way. We have to look to the future at some point and if this is where we are at we need to think long-term.

To me we all want him to stay and retire a Ram but I want to maximize AD whether here as a player or as a trade piece.

Someone said Pittsburgh it does make a ton of sense but they really don't fit my scenario too good of a HC and no player that fits what I want except Watts and they would never do that.

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I’d use this fitting one.

It appears the Rams have leveraged their contracts if their star players Donald/Stafford/Ramsey/Kupp
For the next three years, which is our true window now. 3 years from now or a bit before I’m sure we’ll be making moves but our major pieces are are here for that period.

We hopefully can put together a championship in two of those 3 years, and hopefully create a dynasty.

Obviously this is all words and hopes but the facts and plan laid out by this front office is a 3 year plan.

Here's a what if for you... What if Kroenke knows where the cap's going to be and the Rams are anticipating the pay structure 3 years from now. Which is to say any talk of a window is once again premature.

I'm starting to think the window is McVay.

WHAT IF 2: Judgement Day

What if we actually DO win another Superbowl this season?
Does that make the team more likely to take their foot off the gas?

Or does the chance to Threepeat and go down as one of the greatest dynasties of all time ensure that the Rams would remain on the cutting edge?

They're going for it until at least the 2025 season.

All their core players are signed up. They can mix and match the players around that core group.

It's not often you have this many hof type players on the same team. The Rams have to take advantage of this phenomenon.
