Both the Rams and Packers are 3-1. What makes this loss more damning than theirs? Nothing. The Saints look like a mediocre to poor team.

Teams lay eggs sometimes. It happens. The Patriots once lost to the Bills 31-0 and eventually won the Super Bowl that year. Tampa got shellacked last year.

Playoffs are obviously the minimum here. The 1 seed is obviously preferred - however, I think we will know whether that's in play after Thursday. If we lose Thursday, it is not a sky falling situation - our next five games are all winnable so 7-3 or 8-2 is great before going to Green Bay.

If we win Thursday, were in the driver's seat for the 1 seed in my mind. Yes we lost to Arizona. They're not sweeping us though. And they get the Cowboys, Browns and Panthers for their uncommon games from the rest of the division. We get the Giants and the Ravens.

In order:
A winning record
A playoff berth
A division title
A first round bye

Whatever that amounts to number-wise, I'm fine with it.

I don't care as long as it gets us to the Super Bowl.

This is not a 16-1 team. Probably not a 15-2 team either. But I doubt anyone else is. They're definitely good enough to win 12 games. Don't know if that would be good enough for a first round bye. But I'm gonna react like the sky is falling after every loss. More losses are coming. We still don't know if they're the best team in the division much less the league.

I don't care about the regular season record so much as progressing deep into the post-season. If we win the Super Bowl, who cares where we finished in the regular season? Similarly, if we make the conference finals, although that obviously isn't the goal, it is hard to call the season a true failure, although hit will certainly be a disappointment. There are lots of good teams out there and the salary cap demands parity.

This week, I'm okay with 16-1.

If we lose another game, I'll be okay with 15-2.

If we lose two more games, I'll be okay with 14-3.

Let me know when you detect a pattern here. :sunglasses:

I had 11-6 as a prediction before the season started and has us at 3-1 at this point in the season.

I think I might be detecting the pattern!:quiet:

12 and 5 if they want a real shot to go to the dance this year
10 and 7 if they go the route of the bucks last year and win out.

Roughly a quarter of the way through the season - we are on track for basically, a 12-4 record, but since it needs to total 17, then I'd settle for 13-4 - but really hoping for at least 14-3....
Sunday sucked. We don't need no more of that.
