Here's a few comments from their Rams@Bears thread. Apparently they were hoping the Rams would win.

Week 14: Rams @ Bears

Go rams.
-----------
then we gonna start hearing about how Goff is better than Wentz though....
------------
Goff
facepalm.gif

the only time I root for rams this happens
-----------
Goff almost picked twice.
-----------
Mcvay still audibles for Goff?

boys give rams a gift and they do this
----------
Seems Goff doesn't like the cold
----------
Soo....the eagles are going to get blown out on national television again
----------
Rams are disappointing me

this game is HFA
----------
That Rams oline is garbage. If we can put some pressure on Goff, I think we can keep it to 7-10 points.
----------
I know you're not talking about holding them to 7-10 pts. You mean lose by 7-10 right? I expect a Saints style beatdown.
-------------
it won't be beatdown like many predict, Eagles fans will show up and I think we keep it close
----------
The Bears and Cowboys could give the Rams and Saints a run for their money under the right circumstances. Those defenses are playoff caliber defenses. I just can't see the Rams going to the Super Bowl without having a significant HFA.

Here in LA, the crowd is usually 50% for the visiting team. The Saints will be tough to beat at home. But, all it takes is a couple of big defensive plays and the game could be interesting.
-----------
The Bears are showing the Rams what physicality is about.
----------
Rams only have two back up off. linemen? Yikes....
-----------
Gurley is the Rams offense.

Without him I believe they are middle of the road at best.
-------------
Road to Sb does througb NOLA

Eagles open as big underdogs to the Rams in Los Angeles
A lopsided rematch?
By Brandon Lee Gowton

usa_today_10478371.0.jpg

Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are entering their rematch game against the Los Angles Rams as big underdogs. SB Nation’s odds page shows the Rams are favored by as much as 10.5 points in some places.

This marks the third time the Eagles are entering a game as underdogs during the 2018 season. The first time was when the Saints blew out the Eagles by a score of 48 to 7 in New Orleans. The second time was when the Cowboys beat Philadelphia in overtime last week.

One would think the Rams will be extra hyped for this game. The revenge angle is at play for them given how they lost to the Eagles at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum last season. The Rams will also be looking to get back on track after just losing to the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.

Carson Wentz should have plenty of motivation in this one as well. He’s obviously returning to the scene where he suffered an ACL/LCL injury on December 10 last year. He’s also coming off a disappointing showing against Dallas, so he could really use a bounce back performance in this spot.

The feeling here is that Eagles might actually be able to cover. It shouldn’t be as hard to play in L.A. as it was in the Superdome. That being said, you still have to like the Rams’ chances against Philadelphia’s depleted defense. And it’s hard to trust this Eagles offense, which has only scored 28 first quarter points this year, to match the kind of points Sean McVay’s team can put up.
------------
I have never seen such a bad team be favored in so many games
-------------
I’m heading to this game, and frankly just hoping for something competitive.

Winning out (as unrealistic as that probably is) and two other games going in our favor puts us in the playoffs. But it seems like after Sunday the team is resigned to the fact that playoffs are out of the question.
----------
I give the defense a pass in advance for getting blown out in this spot.
They just played their hearts out and two games worth of snaps with the season on the line and lost in heartbreaking fashion. I’d completely understand if they’re both physically and mentally shot.
----------
You have to take the points here. The Eagles have only lost one game by more than 7 points.
---------
I’d give those points if I did. Eagles have been so bad offensively and without most of the secondary and against a good running team that we need to account for I don’t think that by the middle of the second quarter the spread will just be a fond memory.

----------
going to the game Sunday
obviously wish the Birds won last week, but you never know with these games. Should be a ton of Eagles fans (again)
-----------
Bring on (our) ass kickin'!
first the saints, now the rams!
------------
Away in L.A. 2 years in a row?
That, coupled with the away game at the Saints doesn’t exactly throw cold water on the idea that the NFL is trying to boost the Cowboy’s success at the expense of the Eagles.
------------
Any given Sunday I guess
Beating the Rams would be a really nice consolation prize for all the garbage this season has been. Maybe the offense can finally put up a competitive amount of points instead of wasting another relatively herculean effort by our practice squad defense
-------------
LA could lay a 50 burger on this defense.
------------
Spread isn't enough
Rams 53 Eagles 6

This certainly isn't a walkover, but the Rams will be a lot more comfortable against this D than they were against the Bears..If will be really, really nice if the Rams D can be as tough as last week..This weeks game is every bit as important as last week's...A stumble and it will get the Bears within a 1/2 game of the 2nd seed...I hope they're in a foul mood and take it out on the Eagles...I think we will hear Donald's name a lot of times this week...

I wouldn't take the Eagles lightly they've been playing better ball as of late. but I think we handle business in a dominating fashion. Might not be a blow out but we should win without issue.

As much as I love our team the last two weeks are a little unnerving. Offense has to get back on track. Sadly, the D has looked much better in total. But to win the SB we can't have another Bear meltdown on offense.

A bit nervous about what Fletcher Cox is gonna do to Sully.

The game plan against the rams offense...put 8 in the box, stuff the LOS, and overwhelm the OLine.

Now if Goff has any time at all...Philly doesn’t have the secondary to handle it (unlike Chicago’s good back end).

And if teams are gonna start doing this and our OLine isn’t gonna hold up, like they haven’t recently, then it’s time for some 21 personnel.

p.s. Miss you Cooper Kupp

Some of those Iggle fans have more confidence in the Rams than I do. I think the Rams win a close one but I wouldn't pick them to cover the spread.

This game will be closer than some think. Eagles are coming in with nothing to lose, and a slight glimmer of still making the playoffs, so they will throw everything at the Rams. Even though we're home, I'm still skittish after last Sunday's performance with the offense. I hope they come out and play extremely physical, and put the game out of reach early. IMO, the O-Line has something to prove after last Sunday's performance.

As much as I love our team the last two weeks are a little unnerving.

^This^

Dear Sean McVay:

(1) The coaching staff should forbid Pharaoh Cooper from running the ball out of the end zone.

(2) Mark Barron should be benched and replace by Wilson, Hager or Kiser. It can't get much worse.

(3) Since we have Talib back and coverage is solid, less emphasis should be placed on rushing the passer and more on stopping the run.

(4) Run the damn ball and give our O-line a chance to tee off on opposing defenses instead of opposing defenses wearing down our O-line from constantly being in pass protect.

(5) Love ya Sean but enough of the "I'm a young genius because the media says so" and get back to basics. Enough apologizing and saying "Shoot we'll fix that." Stop overthinking things and use Todd Gurley especially in the second half of games.

You know where you can reach me, Sean. I'll be hunched over my keypad awaiting your response. :peace:

All-Los Angeles Super Bowl?

The Rams obviously have the best record in the league. But all of a sudden, the Chargers have the second-best record in the AFC, and play the Chiefs on Thursday. There's a lot of football to play, but what are the chances of an all-Los Angeles Super Bowl?
------------
If the Chargers beat the Cheifs Thursday night, I'll think about it
-----------
Chargers are good, but I think it may be a tall order to ask them to win in KC, NE or Houston, let alone likely having to win in 2 of those places.
----------
Neither LA team will make it there. The Chargers won't get there. When the Rams lost Kupp, I think there chance went out the window. He is Goff's go to receiver.
----------
Chiefs/Bears would be interesting. Probably boring, but it'd be cool seeing the best offense vs. the best defense.
----------
McVay has not won a playoff game as a coach. The Chargers have not been relevant in years. Sure, it could happen, but they need to win some games in the playoffs first.
----------
Rams maybe. Chargers? I don't think so. Not because of the Chiefs though, as others are saying. The Chiefs always choke. I mean.... AR always chokes.

I am more worried about our D being able to stop the Iggles than how our O plays against their D. Sproles can be a handful for a D that struggles against the run and I absolutely hate Tate at WR.

Eagles open as big underdogs to the Rams in Los Angeles

The Rams looked like sh*t on Sunday Night vs the Bears
which means the Rams will probably drop 50 on the Eagles.

Philly can’t get a break. They seem to play teams the week after the opponent has lost a game they should’ve won, or at least played really poorly in. If the Rams had won on Sunday, they would have a relatively comfortable lead over New Orleans for home field. Now they need to win this week in order to stay in front of the Saints.

I live in L.A. but I’m not going to this game. The tickets are too expensive, for one. And I really don’t want to be there in person if the Eagles get destroyed, which is the most likely outcome
-------------
Rams revenge game?
It should be an Eagles revenge game after all those ‘ACL, ACL!’ chants they gave us last year!
But we don’t play dirty and we don’t do revenge games. So yeah… keep STUDfeld ready for when the late hits on Wentz start piling up.
----------
ACL chants?
i was at the game and i didnt hear anything like that…..big stadium though so there could be a group of fucktards there.
-----------
I wish I had some confidence that the Eagles had any semblance of a chance this week, but I think they’re going to get steamrolled. The Rams have looked legit all year.
----------
Eagles are eaten alive and lose 38-6. Wentz throws 2 interceptions, one of which is a pick-six, and has under 200 yards passing with no TD’s. Defense gets two turnovers but just like last week it’s just not enough.
----------
do people in Philly still think that Wentz is better than Goff?
-----------
I think the Wentz of last year is better than the Goff of this year. So if we’re going off of season bests, then yes. But if we’re talking solely in the here and now, yes. F*** your blonde haired gurley-boy. Hook Alexa up to that headset of his and he’d be throwing balls at my front door.
-----------
Chris Sims started that shitty narrative on Goff. Chris Sims is a douchebag thats mad that Johnny Hekker is a better QB than he is
----------
I think Wentz is still better. Mahomes is better than Wentz though, all day.
-----------
Yes, I think overall Wentz is better. Goff obviously has had more success this season. There won’t be a real answer to this for a few more years though.
----------
If that’s your only criteria you have to give Wentz the edge overall right now. This is the 3rd year. Wentz has been better in 2 of them.
----------
True, and I do think Wentz is better but to be fair let’s not forget about this factor.

mapebjkwjyl3gbbtanaw.jpg

----------
I think both are a bit overrated. Both are still good players. Probably will just be good, though. Neither have the sheer playmaking ability/talent of a Mahomes.

They came as a follow up to the shit show duo of 2015 in Winston and Mariota, so the bar lowered a bit.
-----------
I am willing to give Wentz a pass on this year. I want to see how he does next year, with a full offseason under his belt before making a statement that he can’t be explosive or he has long-term turnover problems
-----------
Goff has a lot more weapons and probably a better coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. I like Wentz personality better. He seems to eat, breathe and sleep football. I love that. Goff seems like a guy worried about his hair. But… the fact is Goff is playing great and Wentz has regressed. Tough call.
------------
I think Goff has been better this year, even when you remove all the other factors (right now I would say that the Rams have a better coach and better weapons than the Eagles), but I think I might still pick Wentz out of the two based on the hope that he’s going to be able to bounce back to being the player he was last year once he’s another year removed from his injury.
-----------
If this game in LA is a target on Carson Wentz’s back and he gets hit and can’t move the ball put Nick Foles in and protect Wentz’s future, if he gets hurt again over a losing battle then that is on Doug Peterson.

From what philly fans are saying I get the impression they havent figured out that Wentz has never started a full season of football in college or the NFL. Availability is the #1 ability and if your injured your not available, this alone makes Goff better in my book. Granted Wentz has not been injured yet this season, but history isnt on his side and he did miss the beginning of this season due to last seasons injury.
