Sloman has accuracy and consistency issues. He's short kicked a KO which was returned almost to midfield (Rams saved by a penalty) and missed an extra point which should never happen. He's missed a kick in both games. Greg's accuracy has taken a hit after his injury and it cost him his job. So why does Sloman keep getting a pass? I'm sure I'm not alone holding my breath every time he walks out there for a FG.
Hes missed 1 FG, his 1st attempt in his pro-career, and had an XP point blocked. That isnt accuracy issues
You compared his 3/3 from 30-39 to be equal of that of Bass who is 1-3 from same distance.
He gets a pass because he's doing a fine job

I predicted Sloman's block because of the inconsistent height of his kicks. That is the result as well as the inconsistent accuracy caused by poor mechanics. He demonstrated this in TC. It's only been 2 games but he's had issues with 3 of his kicks already. If your KO aren't going to be TB then you need to get hang time to give the STs guys to get downfield and limit the return. His lack of height on the return of close to 45 yds was the primary reason it was run back. KO's are important because it can limit the opposition's field position. Sloman has had 12 KO with only 58% being TB (touchbacks) so consistent height in his kicks is a requirement.

As I stated before a lot of his problems look like inconsistent leg swing. If you try to drive the ball it's normally low in its trajectory. It also affects accuracy. Sloman appears not to have that consistent leg. His leg swing should always be the same no matter the angle or distance. That's the only way for him to control his kicks, it all starts with a consistent leg swing. I'm sure they see a great kicker in him. But right now there is no question he's a work in progress project player.

Both of Sloman's misses have been at distances of less than 30 yds. All 3 of his made FGs have been between 30-39 yds.

I know his numbers are good (after playing the Jets and Dolphins), but I'm not a big Josh Allen guy. He's very streaky.

jrry32, I have heard he has a tendency to throw completely wild balls out of nowhere , from time to time. Is that a accurate
assessment.I know you have probably seen enough of him to know.

Yes. I also think Staley will be able to fool him at times with his disguises. Allen is athletic. He has a monster arm. He's big and strong. But he's streaky. He's a bit like Cam Newton. When he's on, he's a nightmare to defend. But when he's off, he misses a lot of proverbial layups.

Thanks jrry . I have him throwing a pick and givin up a fumble.
I have heard he has ball security issues when he runs the ball.

There are a few cocky Bills fans. But every team has those. Well, maybe not the Bengals, Jets or Dolphins. But you get my drift.

For the most part their fans are cautiously optimistic. They still don't know if they have the all world Josh Allen who played against two bad teams. Or the below average passer he was prior to those two bad teams. We will find out tomorrow.

Allen has thrown the ball 81 times this season..thats 40.5 attempts per game...just dont see Buffalo O line protecting him for that many drop backs against the Rams dline. He's going to be forced to rush a few throws and Ramsey and Fuller will be waiting.

Fuller gets his 1st NFL int. this week.

A lot of their comments remind me of us McVay's first year. We turned around from being a continually bad team and took the league by storm. They're very confident and even cocky about their team and they have reason to be even if they haven't beaten a team that will end the season with more than 4 or 5 wins total.

All fans are homers. It's what I expected. I give them kudos for supporting their team. That said reality is gonna suck for them. They are playing in a very weak division with their only competition a post GOAT New England team. But let's see how they play against the Rams and later the Pats. The Pat offense is weakened but their defense is still pretty good.

After this win, as I've posted before I think the Rams go into the bye undefeated. The only thing stopping the Rams from winning the division are their own mistakes or a rash of injuries.
SF hurting but Seattle and AZ will be formidable.

From the Buffalorumbling.com screenshot. They are definitely scared of AD(rightfully so), injured Bills impact, and McVay‘s play calling.
