Lake, Allen, and Tomlinson, all have potential to take a leap from where they currently are. I also think Hampton has some juice. Or maybe Mathis can be a solid back up or situational guy.

I’m going to be in the minority here, but I think that Kendrick can establish himself as a solid CB2. The boneheaded penalties seem to have come under control in the second half of the season and he was generally solid in coverage.

Also looking at Tomlinson improving and establishing himself as our best slot CB.

Draft a CB1 at 19, and add Durant as depth, and we should have a solid CB corps.
I don’t trust Kendrick. He gets lost too much out there. I have hope for Durant but I like Lake at slot CB. I would like a vet FA and R1 or R2 Draft pick to shore up a weak group. I would also like a R3 Draft pick to shore up Safety as well.

Am I missing something about Turner's run defense? He led all Power 5 DTs as a run defender in college and... was the best rookie interior defender against the run this year.

I suspect people just saw his size and said, must be an interior pass rusher instead of watching him play.

Sigh indeed.
No sir, on that we totally agree. Love Turner and think he will be a dominaNt force for years. :clinkingbeer:

Desjuan Johnson. Tyler Johnson. Hunter Long.

These three have a good shot to contribute more than they did in 2023.

Yeah, forgot about Desjuan Johnson. He flashed in preseason and in the few opportunities he had during the season. Could be a nice 3rd down pass rusher, giving Donald a breather every now and then or along side him or and Turner.

I saw very little of Tyler Johnson but he did have some good plays. I’m pretty sure the Rams will add a WR thru the draft this year but not until R5. That could fill the 6th and final spot for WRs on the roster. Kupp, Nacua, DRob, Atwell, Skow, D.R5. I thought Long was projected to still be in rehab when the season starts. I think the Rams may add a TE thru Draft (see Ben Sinnott/KS St in R5) as well so things aren’t looking good for Long.

wouldn't mind seeing that Nacua kid do something on the field... all I'm seeing is social media hype

Frankly, if they field the exact same team as last year, with greatly improved special teams, we will again have a Super Bowl contending team!

Sorry. I agree we could have offensive success with the same lineup but No way can they contend unless they greatly improve that secondary and add another Edge rusher.

That's absolutely where I'm at.

I thought Durant was ready to establish himself as a quality NFL starter. But he seemed to regress in year two. I'm hoping it was a sophomore slump and he'll bounce back next season. They sure seem to give Kendrick every opportunity to establish himself as a viable starter. Not sure what they see in him.

Davis Allen will have an opportunity to make a case for a starting spot at tight end. I doubt Higbee will be ready at the start of the season. And almost surely won't be ready for camp. In the limited sample size Allen did look pretty good.

And there are guys who plateau and regress too every year. Let's hope not many.

Punter Ethan Evans will become an all pro & Quentin James Lake will also be a major factor in the Los Angeles Rams Secondary taking a sad song and making it better.

IMO, the move to the "STAR" position thwarted Durant's growth. Just wasn't a good fit.
