I thought Stafford just didn't quite account for Tutu's shorter wingspan but turns out it would have been on the money if he hadn't gotten tugged at top of route. I know people are pointing to A Jackson departure causing trouble for Stafford, however I think the bigger issue was that despite his loss they continued to throw out of an empty backfield set with Williams out in the flat, Higbee not staying in to block and WR all running downfield routes. Throw in a turnstile at LT and voila!
How it could be so easily seen, yet no corrections made was truly baffling

Quite honestly I could imagine McVay's head swimming at all the responsibilities of managing the game and the play calling... maybe it's hard for him to notice when one OL is outmatched.

As for LaFleur, is he on the sideline, or up in the booth where he'd get a better view?

Yes. This was a really curious and obvious breakdown in whatever coaching communication system they have in place. I couldn’t believe they allowed it unaddressed series after series.
