Kenny Washington's claim to fame is breaking the color barrier in the NFL. First African-American guy to sign an NFL contract, in 1946, right after Rams moved to LA from Cleveland.

He also has the Rams record for longest gain from scrimmage on a running play - 92 yards.

How cool! Yeah, I'm sure it's a jersey for us fans to purchase, not a game Uni. Hopefully I'm wrong though, it would be an awesome throwback for gameday! I have a framed 1951 Hirsch jersey from Throwback Joe.

Too much like the Colts, maybe add a bit of yellow and I'm game.
Colts and Rams had an almost identical uniform style and color in the 1960s, until the Rams changed in 1973.

Fun Fact! One of the reasons for the uniforms was that the simple dark blue and white popped on Television ... Black & White TV ... which is what most people had in the 1960s.

One of the reasons the Rams changed their colors in 1973 was that the same simple dark blue and white was boring on Color TV ... which most house-holds had transitioned to by the early-70s.

The Useless Shit I have accumulated over the years.

Anyone else notice the logo on the NFL patch sown inside? I've never seen that before. Hopefully they replace the "Dicknose" logo they got from a 3rd grader with that one. It looks way better.

It is the same one from the 40's.

Yup and I read that it was part of the deal to moving to LA. Sign this black athlete. And they later signed a couple others too. :thumbsup1:

Well, crap. We were all hoping it might be a sign of a new uni release, but apparently not. Just some more merchandise to sell to fans.

Glad the Rams have that cool history with Kenny Washington. I just wish the Rams PR department would do more to honor the Rams history in their uniforms and logos.
