It seems to me the defense has gotten off to a slow start in most of the games this season. I would like to see the Vikings go 3 and out on their first series.
I would like to see a pick on their first series!

They marched right down the field and scored touchdowns on their opening 2 drives last game with literally ZERO resistance. And we *still* won by double figures.

If you look at the drive chart from that game, we literally moved the ball on every single drive. We had one drive go 6 plays, 10 yards but basically every single other drive the offense moved the ball down the field.

If the offense is actually ready to play and execute at gametime we’ll be okay.

I expect a heavy dose of running and quick throws for O'Connells first two scripted possessions.
We have to create pressure after that and have gap discipline vs the run after that.

I never liked Campbell since the playoff game, but I didn't see it as him undercutting the Rams when he spoke to Kevin. He knows the Rams have played his Lions tough after only beating us by 1 point and needing OT to win in the last 2 matchups. I just took it as him being chummy with KO after a tough loss. He's had an easier time with the Vikings than us if you don't count the 1st half of their 1st game.

But hey if QL and other Rams want to use it as motivation I'll take any advantage to win.

We need this OL to come together with a complete game first and foremost. That unit has been ragged as shit all season. They should have their best 5 at the right time, but will they all be on the same sheet of music.

Not gonna lie I am worried about that. But while I think the Vikes are probably the best coached defense in the playoffs if the Rams OL shows well I think our offense can put points on them again.

Other thing is the blown coverages that have plagued us. Vikes have the weapons to hurt us or put us down quick if the boys in the back aren't disciplined. The matchup overall favors them, I mean Jefferson vs Spoon cmon.

So basically because this roster isn't fully rebuilt we are fully dependent on winning in the trenches. They gotta stay balanced on offense and the defensive front has to play their best. Down game by either line and we done.

And personally I am prepared for this team to get bounced, just a question of what round we get to. So for me there isn't too much pressure, gonna relax and enjoy the run however long it lasts.

Crowd protection shows Rams will have major home-field advantage vs Vikings

SoFi Stadium has quickly become one of the premier venues in the NFL, which is both good and bad for the Los Angeles Rams. The fact that it’s become a destination for fans of other teams has limited the home-field for the Rams, particularly when well-traveling fanbases are on the schedule.

That’s forced the Rams to use a silent count on offense in their own stadium, which is a rarity in the NFL. That shouldn’t be the case on Monday night when the Minnesota Vikings come to town, though.

The Rams should have a major home-field advantage based on the crowd forecast. According to Vivid Seats’ Fan Forecast, Rams fans are projected to make up 90% of the crowd at SoFi Stadium. On several occasions this season, Rams fans have been outnumbered at home – particularly by Eagles, Raiders and 49ers supporters – but it’ll be a favorable crowd on Monday night.

That should help both the offense and defense. The offense will be able to operate with a normal cadence at the line, and if the crowd is loud when the Rams are on defense, it could lead to false starts and delay of game penalties by the Vikings offense.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell admitted that the team was caught off-guard by how loud Rams fans were in Week 8 when the Rams and Vikings squared off on Thursday Night Football, so he’s preparing for a hostile environment this week.

“I’ll say this. When we went there on Thursday night, one of the things that caught us after a really fast start scoring two touchdowns on our first two drives, Matthew Stafford and that offense was able to answer with touchdowns, the noise affected us a little bit later on, maybe a little bit more so than we thought,” O’Connell said this week. “So we’ve got to be prepared for that, not knowing exactly what it’s going to be like.”

The Rams haven’t always had a real home-field advantage since moving back to Los Angeles but it sounds like they will on Monday night – and that could be a difference-maker for Sean McVay’s team.

Thanks for posting the video. However, the hosts left off the second most important factor, HEALTH! If I were an NFL Coach, I’d be talking to:

1. Reggie Scott - Which players are banged up and will perform better with rest?

2. Analytics Team - Which players have run the furthest and exerted the most energy on the field? Who could use some rest?

3. Veterans - Ask how they’re feeling, who could use a few more reps coming back from injuries, work on a couple of new techniques, and who could really benefit from their nagging injuries?

My perfect wild card weekend scenario:

Rams beat Minny
GB beats Philly
Wash beats TB

That would send GB to Detroit and Wash to LA.

The next week GB over Detroit and Rams over Wash

That would give us 3 straight home games.
May your keyboard type straight to the football gods.

how are the boys even gonna be able to practice? I’m about as far away from LA as you can be on the continent so this could be an ignorant question, but i can’t see it being healthy with the air conditions…

SO Cal is a big area, especially with these winds I couldn’t tell you ? Where I live it’s different than 30-45 minutes around me.SOFI will be fine ?? I’d say the Hill(mountain) from Malibu keeps the fire & smoke of the shore or contained on the other side of the practice facility ?? Don’t know if that helps, but then again is depends on the fires.
—Those Wild Fires up North are another thing as well. The homes last are just Sad !! I remember a lot of different fires. There NO JOKE!!
I’ve followed a couple Fires over my time to get a feel for what’s going on. WOW !!

Each Fire is a Fire of its own. There’s always so many factors. There’s some great minds trying to put these things out.
