"What I say is trade them picks and make #8 GREAT AGAIN! ~ SammyStafford is not what he was two years ago. He’s followed up a Super Bowl win with absolute garbage showings. The Rams need to trade up for a QB. I don’t care if it costs 3 firsts. Rams already showed they can draft well after the first, so fuck them picks.
This is headed towards territory the Rams don’t want to be in. They need to start focusing on the future. We have a lot of good young (albeit inconsistent) players to grow with a rookie
This is a thread winner. If we're gonna be this pass first offense then we gotta get back to fielding an elite offensive line. I've never seen an offense whose production is so correlated to it's offensive line. Mcvay with an elite line is among the 5 best play callers in the league. With an average line or worse, it's always bottom tier. The OL just isn't it. Jackson isn't that guy. Shelton isn't that guy either. Doctson had some really atrocious snaps/series as well.
Figure out the RB position, pisses me off Evans was inactive.
I love you Matt Stafford for helping to bring another title to the Rams but please retire and figure out the bonus money for us to get a little cap relief next year.
The roster really isn't built for depth and we have put no resources into the defense I'm honestly amazed we get what we do out of it. We need to put some resources into the OL and the defense as a whole.
That is funny BUT if Sam Bradford was drafted by McVay,” and had Kupp and Nacua to throw to, I imagine his career would be much different."What I say is trade them picks and make #8 GREAT AGAIN! ~ Sammy
The guys in the booth were talking about how they have never seen Dak change so many plays at the line of scrimmage. Maybe he is legit and can send the 49's home early in the playoffs.Oh and btw if Dak continues to play like that Dallas has a chance to win it all. He balled his ass off today.
We're at a crossroads here wrt QB. We have to either fix the goddamn fucking OL, or go get a young QB who can run around like a chicken with his head cut off and make off sched plays when the protections crumble. The OL just isn't it. Pretty much what I've been saying. Only difference is I don't think I'd trade up for the LT.. I'd probably trade back. But I wouldn't be stomping my feet if they did what you suggest. We're at a crossroads here wrt QB. If it's me, I'd go get a LT in this draft. Even if I have to move up I would go get a young stud LT. Then I'd go get a Center in round 3 and finish this OL. This would give us the best chance to get the most from whatever time Stafford has left.
For QB the plan would be to take another flyer on a guy midrounds who can function as a play action game manager at the least, but hopefully with enough arm to maybe be a starter. Then let that rook learn with Stetson (assuming he comes back which who the fuck knows at this point) behind Stafford.
RB is another position I would draft.
Defense I'd load with FA. Edge you probably try to get another high motor type in round 2 or whatever. Corner you can find on the market though, and we could use one more. Still have AD plus Young with another camp under his belt. Maybe add a big space eater type NT in FA.
After this next offseason we'll still have some holes but we should be operating with a playoff roster, given the quality of our coaching. No more red flag type players either. Guys who are We Not Me have to be the priority, and continue with last draft's focus on guys who were team leaders, that's a real nice indicator of future success I think.
We have a new #8 and he's gonna kick ass and long field goals for us."What I say is trade them picks and make #8 GREAT AGAIN! ~ Sammy
I'm wondering now if we get a QB early if we're picking high enough if Patrick Paul would be there with our 2nd round pick. It's very possible right now but who knows what the rest of the college season and the predraft underwear sessions do to his stock. For me he's a very intriguing LT prospect. It would allow us a QB in the 1st and him in the 2nd. Then BPA after that. We're at a crossroads here wrt QB. I'd trade the next year's first round pick to move up for a guy I love. And more. Key is if one's there that you believe in. LT is a cornerstone spot and we've been iffy as fuck since Whit retired. QBs know when they can't trust their back side and a guy like Stafford rushes the ball because he's a gambler.Pretty much what I've been saying. Only difference is I don't think I'd trade up for the LT.. I'd probably trade back. But I wouldn't be stomping my feet if they did what you suggest.
Yeah obviously so much of it is going to be how the board stacks and who's in front of us and all that. Just generally I'd prioritize the line. It is so badly overdue at this point and it starts on that blindside.I'm wondering now if we get a QB early if we're picking high enough if Patrick Paul would be there with our 2nd round pick.
