My overall comp is Kirk Cousins.
If Simpson can reach a prime Cousins level I can accept that.

I want to say you're wrong due to my general dislike of Bulger, but you're probably not wrong.Put Bulger on those Robinson 80's Rams teams (Pre Everett), they may have gotten to a SB.
The more I thought about it, there were some great teams to get past, so probably not, but some games would have been closer.I want to say you're wrong due to my general dislike of Bulger, but you're probably not wrong.![]()
Very late and haven't read all.. but..
Turbocharged Pat Haden?
More refined Jeff Kemp?
I kiddingly said floor as Null, but I agree with you if his floor is anywhere near those guys it is a huge miscalculation on part of the Rams. Not sure why people are saying as a floor........... T.J Rubley............Jamie Martin ????
If he is not at worst as good a QB as Bulger its a wasted pick. He should be at least as good as Everett.
I say he could be a Joe Montana with a bigger arm as well as being faster and more physical.
The Yankees Suck! There, had to get that off my chest.Reality is, Simpson is not going to be Stafford. So realistically, the best we can expect is he's the best Simpson. I'm hoping for a Don Mattingley-Tino Martinez transition. Tino never replaced Donnie Baseball in the hearts of Yankee fans but his numbers were better. As were the team results because the surrounding cast was better and Tino was excellent in his own right.
Yes. Limiting it to Rams only led to exaggerated reaches.Won't follow instructions and use Rams.
Ceiling: Joe Montana
Floor: Kirk Cousins
Im just hoping Simpson is capable of steering the ship and guiding Rams to both, Playoff, and Ultimate success. Matthew Stafford has very little to do with it, other than Simpson doesn't get on the field until Staff feels like leaving.Reality is, Simpson is not going to be Stafford. Bulger was the best in the league at that time at the medium to deep crossers.....he was pretty average outside of that.Less accurate bulger? That means he'll be pretty inaccurate.
Bulger might have a good completion rate but he wasn't accurate at all. He was always throwing behind receivers and they got used to slowing down to make sure the ball hit them.
I'll never forget the day Warner had to sub in for bulger when he got injured in a game in 03. Warner was putting the ball out in front of the receivers so they could run after the catch but they couldn't get to the ball because they had become accustomed to slowing down. Frustrating.
That's why the wrs began falling to the ground after making a catch. They had no momentum and were sitting ducks.

Baker is listed as 6-1", 215 lbs. I don't consider him slightly built. Do you? He's 6'1" not 6'4" or 6'5". To me that's slight. If it sounds better I could say he's not tall or he's not a big QB.....much like Montana.
If Ty could get to 215 and the last 5lbs were muscle I'd be ecstactic. 4-5lbs of muscle is a big deal.Baker is listed as 6-1", 215 lbs. I don't consider him slightly built. Do you?
I'm not looking at weight, though it matters to a degree. I'm talking height ... to see over OL.Baker is listed as 6-1", 215 lbs. I don't consider him slightly built. Do you?
