But you know, I love me some Robin Sparkles magic! ~ Tanp
This is where we part company.

Jessica Glitter was clearly the star of Space Teens; and Robin Sparkles just rode her coat-tail.

I never got Rush. Its like, if you are a fan of classic rock you are supposed to like them. I just never did.
I know Niel Peart is this supremely talented drummer. But when I see drummers with those huge drum kits I am like ugh, they might be temped to use all those things. Ends up sounding like gibberish to me. Peter Criss is the same way.
Then you have that stupid keyboard Rush uses, nah.
Drums, simple is better. Dave Grohl's drum kit when he was with Nirvana is my wheelhouse. (Foo Fighters are elevator music)

Tutu, I want to see some deep shots from him these playoffs. Once he gets past you no one ever seems to be able to keep up. And he does have guts. Better than Tavon IMO.
I have never been able to get past the line - "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice." One of the dumbest if not THE dumbest line in all of music. I wanna smack him every time I hear it.

AIC was the best band to come out of the Grunge Period. If I could go back in time and watch one Grunge band at their height live in a small venue it would be AIC. Jerry Cantrell is still kicking it hard with the current AIC lineup but there was no replacing Layne Staley. He was in serious pain and his powerful voice showcased it.
There are plenty of people who like AIC the best out of that period.
Not me, its still Nirvana. SMTS is like their 20th best song for me, maybe lower. AIC has some songs I like, but plenty I don't too. Just like Pearl Jam.
But Nirvana, I like almost all of their stuff. Few bands can actually say they changed music, Nirvana certainly did for the better. Wipes the radio of the hair bands who had their place, but ran their course. Nirvana opened the door for so many bands that they used to call "collage rock". And that became "alternative" and there are a litany of bands that never had a chance, who now had one.
Nirvana took Michael Jackson off the # 1 spot on the charts. Unthinkable back then.

Screw it, I'm jumping on the run away train...

AIC > All other Seattle grunge. I don't even consider Pearl Jam grunge... they're more alternative to me. Never been a huge fan of them.

I was lucky enough to see AIC and a TON of other amazing bands at Lolopalooza in 93. Tool, RATM, AIC, Primus, Fishbone... What a lineup.

I've seen the current AIC lineup a few times as well. Went to a couple shows during the Black Diamond Skye tour with the Deftones and Mastodon. The Deftones are another of my favorite bands, and those shows were awesome....

HOLY FUCK, MASTODON IS, LIKE, ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE BANDS!

Mind you, I love Backstreet Boys because that was my childhood, but Mastodon introduced me to the metal genre, and while I'm more into softer, more melodic metal/metalcore, I still found a huge love for it! Love Mastodon.

Currently listening to them right now. Their new album is incredible, and Crack the Skye may be the best album I've ever seen (and Crack the Skye the song is one of the most haunting metal songs I've ever heard).

You had me at Tool/RATM. Both exquisite volume 11 bands. Both top 20 bands on my playlist.

Many of the grunge era bands were great. I’d have to give it to Soundgarden though. Chris Cornell easily top 3 singer in my opinion.

As others have mentioned, RATM, Tool, and Deftones (Sacramento band too) are other favorites.

Yep, have that song on my iPhone, too. Not really picky when it comes to music.
Honestly I love NickleBack and I don’t give a shit what anybody says! But I do think it’s funny how people try to dog others that listen to them! lol

Just a funny jab haha
