Mcvays positive spin on TuTus lack of production.

“He does everything asked of him.”

I always chuckled at that.
Like sit on the bench.
Don't bother dressing out for this game.
We're going to have you run down the field and even if you're open we're going to throw it underneath to somebody else.
Do you want a 10 million dollar contract to do hardly anything?
Things like that. :)

I'm sure if we thought about it he's not one of the worst. Not in the top 5 even. Off the top of my head Isaiah Pead was far worse. So was Brian Quick, Lance Kendricks, maybe Lamarcus Joyner. This is only going back to 2010. Atwell was good at times.
I put in one of the worst where we had a huge need

Agreed. Creed would still be here.

Malik Willis has a god damn rocket launcher for an arm. If they scheme their offense to let Tutu rip it down the field I could see that being a very lucrative combo.
I’m curious to see what he does in Miami.

However, I cant think of any WR’s that McVay let go, that have had great success.

Can we now say without anyone saying let's see what he does that he was one of the worst second round picks ever when we had such a huge need at another position cough center cough.
Brian Leonard, Joe Klopfenstein, Tye Hill, Isiah Pead, and Donnie Avery would like a word.

Tutu wasn't great, barely a useful player, but he wasn't one of the worst. We've had some bad ones.

He was a 1st round pick. They passed on ngata to trade down then take him. Useless.

Then the next draft they passed on revis because they already had hill and took some dt (carraker?) that didn't even fit their system. Useless.

The linehan years set the franchise back for years.

My memory is not as good as it used to be. But I recollect that the Rams were highly interested in a wide receiver named Dwayne Eskridge. However, Eskridge was chosen by Seattle one spot ahead of the Rams pick. My assessment was they reached for the next best thing in Atwell, when they could’ve waited at least another round. But understandably, they weren’t willing to take that chance. And lookup Eskridge. He makes Atwell look like an all pro.

I had a dream of him and Desean Jackson burning defenses into oblivion. Ignorance is bliss... but we still won the Super Bowl that year so whatever.

We all had that dream, Jackson in 21 and tutu after that season and beyond.

Ah well.

It was a horrid year for WR in the draft all the way down, no?

I'm sorry, and no offense. But TuTu is your son's favorite player?

What The Hell Wtf GIF
He tends to cheer for the underdog. The undersized/underdog. He also liked him in college. He has also had interactions with Tutu and likes the guy personally.

NOTE: he will no longer be his favorite player. He's a Ram diehard first.

Someone else said the same thing but you must not have seen my response.

I said one of the worst draft picks where we had a huge need. Everyone knew we needed a center.

None of the above draft picks were taken instead of a player where we had a critical need. Well, maybe Tye Hill.

Good point that we could have taken a center but dear god, most of those players were taken when we had needs elsewhere.
