No one player will make a difference at this point. Rams need multiple players at multiple positions. I hope they slide down a little from 36 and pick up either another 3rd or a couple of fourth’s. They have a huge gap between #77 and their next pick at #167.. I would not touch the 2024 draft capital at all. Next year’s draft is much better than the current draft. Rams will likely have some pretty good options in the 2024 draft.

Only guys Rams should trade up for is Will Anderson if there's some sort of freak free fall to the 20's...or Will McDonald if we need to leapfrog 5 or 6 spots to get him...

I think they're worth it because both have the potential to be the Rams top pass rusher once Donald decides to retire. It's fills a need now but helps build to the future...

If both are off the board then lets trade down and get many picks as we can in the top 100...Lots of help needed at WR/CB/IOL as well...

The way they're going to gain additional picks is a trade down. Trading away next years picks to move up in the draft....for an extra lottery ticket? That's like kicking the can down the road with salaries. I hope they don't do anything like that.

Well, if there's a guy you really want bad....say somebody who unexpectedly dropped....there's nothing wrong with moving up a few spots to get him. In any round. I'm not advocating spending draft capital to move into the first but move up in the 2nd or 3rd or any of the other rounds, go for it.

Barring somebody completely unexpected dropping to the late first round (like Jalen Carter, C.J. Stroud, etc.), I'd stand pat. We'll have good players available when we go on the clock.

Who's talking about "later rounds"? One trade down in the 2nd or 3rd gets them a 4th. It amounts to 4 picks in the first 4 rounds instead of three. Move down 4-6 spots in the 2nd and they still have those 2 in the third plus a 4th. Nothing changes but one pick, while gaining a 4th round draft slot. By your theory, if that gets them a bunch of jags, then without a trade down, it'll produce 1 quality player (maybe) and a bunch of jags.

It would have to be a QB who unexpectedly falls. If Anthony Richardson is there is in the end of the first round - I’d be ok if they went and got him.

I’d be shocked if the Rams trade up. I’d be even more shocked if they traded any of next years picks (as they have diminished value this year). Both reasons would go against objective 2 of their 4 part strategy:
2) The Rams are going to flood their roster with cheap young talent. And see how many are worth retaining beyond 2023.

I think most of that will happen in the next seven-to-eight days.

Whether the Rams move up or down, they will probably draft 10-14 players on Friday and Saturday.

Most of the desirable undrafted free agents usually commit within 24-36 hours of the Draft.

With just 44 players under contract, I expect the Rams to sign a ton of undrafted free agents ... 20 or more ... and do so quickly. By the end of next Sunday, the Rams could have added somewhere between 30-40 players. Here's hoping a few of them turn-out good.

I wrote earlier in the month about trading up for OCyrus Torrence I am amending that. I do not see a need to trade up and lose any draft capital I want him and he maybe at #36, but if he goes earlier I say wait there absolutely be a great player most likely an OLB.

I honestly don't see a name that is worth trading up for. Conversely I do not want us trading down ONLY if it is 5-7 picks and there are at least 2 to 3 players we would love to have. No trade down and hope your player is there like we stupidly did in 2012 when we were set to take Bobby Wagner instead we netted a bust at RB and the extra 5th rounder was a bust at G. Same with the trade down 3 times netting us Rapp a ton of good players could have been had between #31 to 61.

I agree only if some miracle happens and a Carter drops. Any player worth trading up for is too high up past #15 forget it and not sure any name in the top 15 this year are worth. Don't love the LTs, same with the CBs or OLB that we couldn't get a comparable one by holding pat at #36.

I think there is almost no chance they trade up unless they are absolutely drooling over someone. I think they definitely want more picks and not less.

I expect a trade down.

If we go up, I think it’s to get a playmaker for the offense.

There is zero chance we package up next year’s 1st to move up this year. I cant see any player outside the top 8 picks that is worth next year’s 1st.

We can stay at 36 and have multiple 1st round talents fall to us.

I'm torn between the two of them. But, if I had to choose, I'd go with the better blocker in Kraft.

BTW, I like Penn State's Brenton Strange, too. Love his physicality. If McVay won't finally give in on bringing in a FB, he'd be an outstanding TE / H-Back. It would be nice to bring more physicality to the offense.

Strange is a great blocker. He’s very athletic too. He doesn’t have sticky hands but he’s a decent receiver. His production may have been higher but Yurcich didn’t embrace the TE usage at first. When he did there were three good ones to spread the ball to. Sean Clifford wasn’t the best QB either.
