If we make a trade it has to be at CB for me. Denzel Ward would be high on my list if Cleveland would listen to offers.

Quick glance at OTC, looks like that would be a pretty extreme cap hit for Cleveland.
If the Rams were to look at CB (considering, in part, that both Darious Williams and Cobie Durant will be free agents), I would think Alontae Taylor or L'Jarius Sneed would represent an immediate up-grade; and either would be a quality starter going forward.

Both would represent big cap hits for 2026. Sneed is under contract, while Taylor would need to be re-signed.

Appears to be some cap relief to TN for moving Sneed, so maybe a 4th but probably a 3rd would have to go.
Taylor might cost the Rams' 2nd. Not sure how big of a contract he would get as a free agent.

Cap implications are important, with so many Rams coming-up for new deals in the next two off-seasons.

Wonder if the Rams would be willing to trade either Humphries or Quissenberry seeing how McClendon was the first backup T up when Hav went down?
I doubt either would get anything more in return than a late-round pick swap in a future draft.

Would prefer the veteran depth they currently provide.

Just repeating, but if Stafford is as great as we make out, they shouldn't need any offensive additions.

This comes after watching a replay of Baker Mayfield playing so well this past Sunday with his 4th, 5th, & 6th string WRs (Egbuka got hurt early) and backup RB.
In Stafford's defense, he can't scramble like Baker. Stafford old ass runs slow lol

Some of us here clearly have different ideas on how to compliment a 37 year old QB who can still sling it but can’t move anymore. There’s one, “maybe”two elite players on this offense.

I would give up a 2nd for Denzel Ward, not for Alontae Taylor. Taylor was ineffective and a missed tackle machine last year. He's having a better year this year, but he's not a great CB. Sneed for a Day 3 pick is a solid deal.

Honestly wouldn't mind trading for Roger McCreary. He's going to be a free agent after this year, but he's young and ascending.

It hurts even more that Will Johnson was literally the next pick and to a division rival. Quite literally exactly what we need, a big lockdown CB. Trey Amos and Ben Morrison were later in the same round too.
I completely understand. But at the time the CB room was fairly well-stocked and Mcvay needed something/someone to get this offense going...especially in the red zone.

The Rams had there choice, but I still like where The Rams are at as a team right now.

IMO the idea right now is to try to win a super bowl while still improving as a team.

In the long run Mcvay seems to always have his teams fighting & improving going into the Playoffs.

It's important to remember that Will Johnson fell so far because he reportedly has a degenerative knee issue. Given our experience with Todd Gurley, it's not surprising we passed, if that's true. We took a big gamble in not going after a CB. Right now, it's biting us. Hopefully, we make a trade for a solid or good starter.

Apparently the Patriots are looking to add a WR. Also - Jakobi Myers isn't practicing today for an unknown reason. The tea leaves are usually wrong but they say what they say.
