What would his value honestly be? People around the league respect McVay so much especially as an offensive mind, and if he couldn't get anything out of a player would they really think they could? It still blows my mind that after all the off-season hype he's literally been invisible in this offense. An offense that is hurting for speed and playmakers. Just blows my fucking mind.

Dude I'm all for tight coverage but my point is that they are overcompensating for a lack of pash rush. Rushing 4 is huge that's why they beat us constantly.
And that's the difference between you and I - I do not think the Rams pass rush is as bad as people say it is. When the passer is getting the ball out 2.5 seconds or less, it is almost impossible to sack the QB.

I saw one play recently where Donald had a completely unblocked free path to the QB and he could not get to the QB in time to sack him because we were playing so far off that the QB was able to throw in the direction of the receiver and

1) not worry about an interception
2) not get called for grounding

If we played aggressive on that play, we would have had an extremely high chance of one of four things happening

1) Sack
2) Fumble
3) Interception
4) Grounding

And I really need to stop posting in this thread - sorry all but I felt I needed to respond to Kupp and Payote - no more responses

Strangely, when they do actually give him a shot, he looked good. Stafford and him were off on 2 deep shots, but that one they connected on was incredible. Likely the deepest reception of the year. I'd get him in the game more often myself. Yeah, he's a ticking timebomb for injury at that size, but, he adds nothing to the team in any other part of the game (i.e. no Special teams).

I could totally see McVay go after Kamara. Really hope he doesn't though, that dude is expensive and WILL be suspended sometime soon for that fight in Vegas.

Suspended next season. Something that can be managed. I hear ya though. Greedy me loves it. Logical me knows we need edge first.

Ok but when your corner and middle linebacker are tied with AD for sack lead there's an obvious problem.
The Rams aren't the only ones in the league that the ball comes out quick against or play 10yds off. Usually trans with no pass rush play 10 yds off to keep everything in front of them.

You see it your way I see it another perhaps the deadline will be more of an indication.

I really really really want to see the QB pass time for each team's defense.

I wish there was an easy stat to look up.

I couldn't find it though.

Have an eerie feeling that the Rams are gonna be quiet in FA this year.....although the Athletic mentioned a trade for Isaiah Wynn that doesn't sound like too bad of an idea....except he is playing like shite this year.....so maybe that's why we're so quiet.

If the Rams stand pat and make no moves then they are writing off the year and will reload next year. I don't know how they don't make a move tho with all the guys available. Just my opinion

Again over the years of all the football you have watched how many teams have had success with hardly any sacks but forgetting sacks even pressures???? We are almost or more than 100 pressures behind the cowboys that's insane.

Trust me I have a mini stroke every defensive snap when I see our corners 10yds off especially against the whiners because you me and the rest of the world knows they will dink and dunk you to death til they break one hence the addition of CMC another dope that can break one anytime.

Having said all of this and it it's an obvious problem I'd rather go down playing more physical and 3yds off to shock them hopefully surprise them and I'd try that in the 2nd half if the game is close so adjustments would need to come on the fly but also be prepared if they do adjust it could get ugly. We will need the offense to make each possession count.

I just want to insert a dagger on their season to at least put them behind the 8 ball. God I hate them!!!!
