54 games 29.5 sacks. That's good not dominant in any football definition I'm familiar with.

At his age, with the team he's on, he's been dominant. Remember that this kid had literally just turned twenty-one when he was drafted (his birthday is April 23rd). Remember that he's only ever had Haason Reddick and Derrick Brown (and Reddick was only there for a year) for help - and Brown isn't much of a pass-rusher as a NT.

When I look at those underlying things, I call him dominant, and he'll only get better with age, with learning under AD, maybe even growing into our best pass-rusher.

That's how I see it, anyway. I understand why you and others don't.

You're projecting him to be better than what we've seen on tape based on where he's playing. I have never once said I don't think he's good, quite the opposite having told you several times he's good. Dominant is just not something Burns is. And if he played with AD he wouldn't be dominant he'd be a good player taking advantage of the havoc AD creates just like guys before Burns did if he joins. A dominant Edge does a lot more against our OL last week than Burns did.

I never denied that you said he was good. I just feel that he's a dominant player, more like what Jalen Ramsey was with us than a Dante Fowler type. If you disagree with that, it's fine.

I never was a big Burns fan. I'd pass if it takes significant assets to acquire him, which I am sure it will. But if the Rams' pro scouts disagree, then I will welcome the move, as they rarely get it wrong.
He seemed invisible in our game. I don’t recall him making any type of impact at all. Maybe we game planned to stop him idk. I just know that I don’t even recall him making any impact.

As they should be. Burns is a really good young player. But he’s not worth 2 FRPs. I’m ok sending out two FRPs, but it needs to be a true difference maker like Jalen. Rams have limited assets to deal - you need to use them wisely.
And he has a $16M salary next yr and will be due a huge deal after that. If he was an absolute star like Ramsey, that's one thing, but not sure he is close to that.

This team needs quality cheap labor in the form of high draft picks.

I wouldn't support this trade if I didn't believe Burns was dominant, his age & health history also factor into my great interest for him. Regardless, I don't sacrifice our 2023 2'nd & 3'rd round draft picks as our need at IOL and RB must not be left empty for the 2023 season. Trading our #1 and #2 picks in 2024 though is quite different, and I would easily move them along with a couple players that Carolina desires just as long as the impact isn't so great that it adversely affects our moving forward successfully.
Trade for DE Burns at the above cost & RB D'Ernest Johnson for a 2023 6'th and perhaps another late round 2024 pick if necessary.
With every RB other than Kyren Williams heading into free agency, he Johnson and a 2023 3'rd round draft pick should set us up for years.

Possible players to include for a Burns trade along with the draft picks are A'Shawn Robinson, Brycen Hopkins, TuTu Atwell, Taylor Rapp, Justin Hollins, David Long & Cam Akers, not all of them of course, but some combination of a few. jmo.

Yeah, I could go for Burns and Johnson (as well as dealing Akers for a pick). I'd love to have Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama) for our second round pick; he's a lot like Jamaal Charles.

Chubb is the answer I have started several threads on this. UFA - Denver has Gregory and Browning already. The team is tanking. Wilson is out tomorrow.

Chubb 2 years older than Burns will be significantly less than Burns due to Denver having no leverage. He has #1 win rate in NFL of all OLBs at just under 25% Burns is 6th. He had 5.5 sacks Burns has 4. Knock on Chubb is he has missed 24 games in 5 years really 4 years. His 1st year he had 12.5 sacks this year he is having his statistically best season in every category.

Maybe you need to take a grammar class.

Periods and commas are your friends.
Maybe or just bypass it next time and go one to the next comment. (Period end of sentence) Typically you don't have anything productive to add to any of the conversations anyhow. (Period end of sentence)
