Saying it doesn't make it so ...
I have lost faith in our OL & RB corps, maybe even a little some in McVay, but Stafford, NO.
Oh I know there are others. Was more of a smart ass comment.

Speaking of a team Org. that does not live in REALITY!:laugh4:
Have to understand the owner. A guy like Tepper isn't going to put up with losing or a full rebuild. He'll apply band aids for years before doing that and admitting failure.

We’re gonna see if all the pro personnel in the FO can find us an Akers replacement

I am not so sure the Rams need to go full rebuild mode.

I think with a better o-line, and a more dynamic RB room, we can compete with anyone in what is a weak NFC. The latter can be fixed easily via the draft even in the mid rounds. The former will, in part, be greatly assisted with getting bodies back from injury.

The 2022-23 season might well be lost. It seems we just lost Noteboom for the season. At some point, injuries at one position group become too voluminous to overcome. Especially when that position group is o-line. But we have enough high-end talent that I would not go into "seller" mode just yet. We have another year or two yet, IMO, to contend with this group of elite players like AD, Stafford, Kupp, and Ramsey.

I'd avoid giving away any major draft capital at this point, but start looking to the draft and free agency to re-tool, not re-build. Anyone we acquire this year must be part of the plan going into 2023-2024 as well. One year rentals are not fitting this season.

When I saw HC McVay go into the season with only 8 OL'ers down from last season, plus the fact that #71 was considered their star reserve OL'er:hellno:, I knew we were in serious trouble.

That's fully on McVay & Carberry!.No longer sure that Carberry is the right guy here & I also am nowhere as high on our HC as I was several years ago.
Yeah, the head coach has done nothing in months. Can't live off the laurels of last February forever.

You sure you're not from Philly?

Kevin Carberry needs to go, IMO. What is he even watching in practice? How can AJ Jackson have been that far down the depth chart? He has looked incredible since stepping in. Similarly, how can Evans be so high on the depth chart? He is a massive liability out there and has been for years. I could overlook one of those extremely glaring mis-steps. It happens. Some guys are just not "practice players". Etc. But both? That is beyond concerning. I have my doubts Shelton was appropriately ranked as well. And why can none of our guys handle stunts? Are they not coached on it?

Evans was the last o lineman on the depth chart. What do you mean, "so high on the depth chart"?

I am pretty sure Evans is our first-man up at RT and #2 on the depth chart there, although I am open to correction on that. Thankfully, Havenstein has yet to get hurt (knock on wood). But given how many swing tackles we have, I think that is a serious miscalculation.

Maybe so. Hopefully we never have to see that.

As much as they claimed it wouldn't be an issue, him missing all of OTAs and being limited in camp, has been an part of the problem. Especially when it comes to being comfortable with Robinson.

Well… Jackson was probably ahead of him at right tackle, too.

So.. Evans was way down the depth chart.
