When a team loses 6 of its projected top-8 OL before the season is half over, I don’t think scheme makes much of a difference.

Tom Brady has gotten sympathy because his starting Center and starting Left Guard were injured. Poor Tom has been playing with his #2 Center and #3 Guard.

The Rams lost their starting Center, starting LG, starting RG, #3 Guard, #4 Guard and starting LT. That’s just too much to overcome in my opinion.

I think McSnead feels that this Rams squad is farther away from competing for a Championship than a couple of drastic trades will fix. We are rolling with who we have, hoping for a playoff spot.

You can't retool this team with free agents so either you find a foundational piece trade etc. Or you go the other route and trade off assets before it's to late and they old overpaid etc.
 
9 and 8 might make the playoffs and we need to be healthy as much as acquire talent.
If we get healthy maybe we make a run.
Mortgaging future picks for what likely won't help us without getting healthy is not something I am a fan of.
 
Looks like the Steelers are close to getting William Jackson from WAS.
