Agreed. McSnead are in perpetual motion evaluating personnel and weighing options for building the perfect beast. While there is limited cap space and draft capital I believe they know the Rams need some reinforcements to be relevant in the NFC. It takes 2 teams to tango, but I think the Rams negotiate a trade on both sides of the ball before the trade deadline. A spark on offense and more pressure on QBs from the defense is what the Rams need. It’s not in McVay’s or Snead’s M.O. to just sit back and wait. They try every year to get to the Super Bowl and win it. And if that requires sacrificing some draft picks you know they’ll have no qualms of doing that.
We certainly could use both but Defense is top 5 and Offense is bottom 5, hard to just assume that will right itself without outside helpYou are very much hemorrhaging at the edge. I don't understand how some don't get that. It's worse than the o-line because the o-line was actually hurt the edge isn't.
2 sacks from AD Ramsey and Wagz where are the edges in there?
Understand but again offense has been crippled stafford sacked 21 times in 6 games 5 or 6 different offensive lines and Arob trying to learn and get acclimated something to say for that while the defense hasnt had many injuries rendering it crippled besides a couple corners. After a legit edge I don’t care what they add as I trust them to do whats right. We certainly could use both but Defense is top 5 and Offense is bottom 5, hard to just assume that will right itself without outside help
I understand what you're saying and I think it makes sense on an analytical level, but fuck relevancy if you're bouncing out early in the playoffs every year. For me at least, being a playoff team nearly every year for decades is relevancy.
Not bottoming out every 5 years also qualifies to me. Bottoming out meaning one of those 2, 3, 4 win seasons.
When a losing record rarely happens also qualifies. When a down year meant 8-8, 9-7
The Rams by my criteria have been relevant for the last 5 years and I’d say the same even if they hadn’t won the title.
You guys probably heard this already but I heard the Rams are in talks with CLE for Kareem Hunt. It makes a lot of sense.
Good lord if the headline Monday morning is "Rams Trade for Cooks" I'm going to be physically ill. Literally almost think Jefferson is better at this point, doesn't have a huge salary, isn't out of the league with one more concussion, is bigger, is younger, has fresh legs, ect ect. The last thing we need is a WR, honestly. All the trade chips we have should be concentrated on edge and/or RB, possibly OL. Anything else is McVay getting too fancy.

Would you offer what we offered for CMC?
Kamara is 27, and is reasonably affordable for the next two years ($11-12M/year). In 2025, his salary jumps to 2025 but, by then, he’d likely be released or his deal would be reworked.
So…worth it?
