I am curious how many on this forum really think the Rams should have matched or beat the 69ers trade bounty for CMC? I’d have been watching each remaining game holding my breath every time CMC touched the ball knowing it was just a matter of time before he sustained another injury. Probably not good for us in week 8 but I would want every available $ used to add an Edge or beef up the OL. I’m actually relieved we didn’t pull the trigger.
Nope. I'm just excited to see the Rams were active but now it's time to get edge and a cheaper back.

Rapoport saying it came down to Niners and Rams, and neither had the '23 1st that the Panthers wanted.

Go back to the Panthers for a big back. D'Onta Foreman. He would be a nice change of pace guy.

No Team is one player away....that is NFL Folklore, but you can add multiple pieces that fit what you are building. CMC is a great pickup for the Niners as long as he stays healthy.

I would be smiling if the Rams had traded for him, but it would have made the entire season that much more stressful. Watching him take hits with our Oline.........Damn!

So congrats 49ers if he works out. They know Jimmy G is gone gone next year.....gotta go now.

Only?? So next yr no 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. Then no 1st in 24' either due to Lance trade.

They are going all in this yr. Kudos to them because the NFC is wide open, but they will pay a price down the road.

How many times have we heard that about the Rams?

Seems like going all in is fine as long as we're the ones doing it. I'm more concerned about the cap hit next year but if they win the SB who cares? CMC and Deebo on the same team with that defense definitely puts them at the front in the NFC

I just got off the phone to a friend who works for Fox Sports in Denver. He said there is talk of the Broncos talking to the Rams about trading Bradley Chubb, for Akers and either another player or a draft pick next year. I told him I'd haven't heard anything myself but it would make sense for Akers and the Rams.

Chubb is in a contract year. They could extend the contract (he's only 26) making it fit this year. It's all about the guaranteed money. It sounds like the Broncos want to unload his $12.7M contract. The Rams could turn it into a signing bonus and rewrite the contract over 4 full years with a year or two void years. Chubb isn't an elite edge but he's a good edge who could be better on this DL. He's young enough to warrant at least one more multiyear contract.

I say, for RB we try for Jacobs or Hunt.....if the price is too high, next tier would be D'Ernest Johnson, David Montgomery, or Antonio Gibson. At edge, Burns, Chubb, Josh Allen, Cam Jordan, and Quinn (looking at guys on losing teams).

For fuck sake. All the Rams have to do is win next week and that trade won’t look so great. The Rams would be split head to head but have a better division and conference record.

Does this mean deebo will have trouble hitting his bonus #s now that the 9ers have another proven back?

Easy enough he’s suffering from concussion symptoms
Sorry, I don't see it that easy. Doctors would have to buy-in on symptoms; and, if there are none, that's unlikely.

Regardless, Cam Akers would have to buy-in; and, he seems to want-out.

Same guy that had us going for Danielle Hunter? I’ll be watching this very closely in hoping it’s legit.

List of avg Ram players that some think have any trade value is... shall I say... interesting. :laugh4:

Ah well, CMc is gonna look good in street clothes on the whiner sideline. Just sayin'.

I said kudos to them because if he stays healthy they have a great shot of reaching the SB. I just said it will catch up to them.

And yes it's slowly catching up to the Rams in some ways. They lack young impactful players now. The Rams need some future stars which is why I stated previously I didn't want a short term guy like McCaffery.

And I would argue trading 2 #1's for Stafford was more impactfull on the Rams success and more needed than going to get an injury prone top RB. I really didn't care for the Von Miller trade, but at least they won the SB.

The Whiners had a shit ton of picks next year thanks to several 3rd round comp picks for their coaches getting hired so they had plenty to spare to get this done. They still have two 3s, a 5, and two 7s.

We don't even have a 4th next year so we couldn't match this anyway barring a later year pick but lets say Panthers accepted a 4th in 24 next year we would have had three 6s and a 7th. And us having no 4th next year I'm guessing it'd take some of those too. It just wasn't in the cards for us to compete with their picks.
