Trade Akers for an Olineman, sign OBJ and trade a WR for a RB. There might be a future draft pick involved too.

The Rams used THREE different RBs yesterday and Williams is due back.

1)I wouldn’t part with any draft capital just yet, especially for a RB.
2) not sure the Rams have anybody tantalizing enough to trade for a RB unless another GM is eyeballing one of our rookie DBs.
Do we really want to part with one of them?
3) for all of those who malign Henderson, he is an excellent blocker in the passing game.
4) the only position I would consider trading away draft capital for would be OL…and I’m not sure I wanna do that just yet.
Yeah, and 2 of those RBs were on the street 3 weeks ago. They need someone else imo.

Don't we already kind of have that with our RB committee though? If it were me I'd focus on acquiring some OL who can block as though they played in the NFL.
Some think so. I'm just not one of them.

I'd love an OL addition. But RB is a bigger problem for us right now IMO. Them moving Akers or cutting him soon means it's gotta happen.

Sounds good but what kind of OL would they get for Akers?

The Broncos lost their #1 RB (Williams); and the #2 RB (Gordon) has had fumble issues. Just don't know that Denver has an OL it would move that could start for the Rams.

There are not a lot of Austin Corbett / Cleveland situations out there. Prior to the season, I brought up Tevin Jenkins from Chicago. Like Corbett, Jenkins had a very disappointing rookie season, and the Bears had a new coaching staff and front office. Unfortunately, Jenkins won the starting-RG-spot; and may not be available.

Hope I am wrong.

I have to believe the Rams are finally figuring out what isnt working on their offense. They have no power running game and won’t this year. They have a number of weapons but each is unique in skills and usage. They have to give Stafford more options than Kupp/Higbee and more time to work with. With zJefferson returning, Skow becoming a Swiss Army knife, Powell becoming a shifty option and maybe TuTu/OBJ being uncorked it’s a short pass game with misdirection and surprise that will carry this team. Add figuring out Robinson’s usage (???) and we might see an energized offense coming out of the bye week. The missing ingredient will be a replacement for Akers with a short yardage runner and some reinforcements on the OL. McSnead will be working 30 hours a day to turn every stone. I’m a homer but that’s my take and I’m sticking with it.

At least in the short term we could get FB Roger Carter in to help block for that RB group. jmo.

I'd kill for Brian Burns on our team. I'd give up two future first round picks, our second, and a good young player or two for him.

It all kind of tells you to invest in, aquire, and develop OL years in advance, doesn't it.

We have Donald for the remainder of this season and probably next season. Who knows how much longer Stafford is going to play; I occasionally catch Kelly Stafford's podcast and she's been urging Matthew to retire asap. This team will look completely different in three seasons. We need all future early draft picks IMO. We're staring at a complete roster rebuild.

Along with Derrick Brown, yes, but Carolina is undergoing a huge rebuild. In my opinion, if someone gets two first round picks, a second, and one or two good young players, nobody should be untouchable. And there's a lot of smokescreens around the trade deadline, so I'm skeptical that Burns is completely untouchable.

Cameron Erving is right there I said it yesterday I will say it again

You sign Eric Fischer
Trade for Erving

Erving can play guard but talk about redoing your line and the power.

I think Fischer may want to much or not like LA.

Also we will need a LT for this year and next can't be taking chances with Stafford.

Akers off Achilles is a lot different than an o-line dude ask Fischer.
