How are you not able to relate to some of these guys after seeing something like that? All of us dream about becoming someone great in life and to be able to share it with someone we love. It's far too easy to see these guys as stats or numbers, and forget that they grew up as children with families just like us. Whenever someone takes the field in horns like Hekker, we should remember that they're living the dream that we always wanted. Rejoice in that and be happy for them.
I was listening to the Cards' feed on sirius during the game and they were going on about Hekker. Was pretty funny when he boomed that last punt like 50+ yards with min return they were like "WTF this guy's ridiculous!"
