Gotta go with Pead imo. Some guys just take longer to mature, and it looks like he finally gets it. Needs to keep his head though, and protect the ball. Seattles shit talking D will test this for sure.

1st major test for the oline. Being able to run the ball will be paramount in this game. If Foles in constantly in 3rd and long with pass rushers teeing off we're fucked.

Not only that but Tyson actually could box and won several fights by decision. He was not very easy to hit if your name wasn't Douglas or Holyfield.

And there is another great fighter IMO. I watched Evander have some of the best fights I have ever seen ranging from Cruiser to Heavy. Evander had some of the worst defense I've ever seen but if you wanted to see a fight, you knew Holyfield was going to give you a show. His first fight against Dwight Muhammed Qawi made me a fan for life. Then beating Tyson like he did was just huge. No one gave him a chance but I bet a whopping ten bucks on him at a casino night at a landscape convention in Cincy. 5 to 1 so it was a decent pay off.

I'm not so sure about that. Ali was great and is well remembered but man when Tyson was in his prime it wasn't a question of who would win but how many seconds into the first round the poor sob fighting him was gonna stand. Also, while Ali did go the distance (15 rounds) with Frazier in 1970, he did lose his crown in "The Fight of the Century" to the bruiser. George Foreman bested Joe a couple years later and I've heard him say that Foreman had the hardest punch of anyone he ever fought. Mike Tyson was a shooting star who burned so brightly but lasted ever so short. It was fun while it lasted though and man...that would have been a match to see if ever it was possible. Butterfly meets Bulldog.

Sidenote: It sucks so bad that boxing has killed itself. It is such a great sport...really the quintessential sport. When I was a kid everybody knew who the heavy weight champ was at any point in time. Now... who is the champ anyway?

I was enamored with Tyson...I loved that he seemed to respect the history of boxing. I wanted him to be the best boxer I ever saw..At the time, those knockouts were thrilling. But sometimes, an athlete that's tested by those almost as good, tells you more.. A broken down, mind0-fuked Tyson was beaten by Buster Douglas...BUSTER freakin DOUGLAS! *smh.....Thats all that Tyson had. While Ali was tested by talent almost as great as his, and he came out on top. I didn't know it, but I saw some of the greatest boxing of anyone alive, and i am the richer for it...
Also Sugar Ray Leonard..Boom Boom Mancini...Marvin Hagler..Pipino Cuevas...Thomas Hearns was good for a short while.......

I was one of the biggest fans, from a youngster, and I saw that sport, completely corrupted. Lost my respect, and taste for it. Kind of why I like the UFC now. Hard to fix that shit.

Those Leonard/Hearns fights were great.

I was very disappointed with Larry Holmes..great jab and no power..He was billed as the next Ali, and it wasn't close..It was a good fight between him and Ken Norton, however..

I remember, I was working at McDonald Douglas during that fight. If I had it then, I would have bet a million bucks on Tyson.

If I had a million bucks now, it'd be in my gun safe.

Talking my language NOW. As sad as the outcome was, that Mancini/Kim fight was absolutely incredible. And Sugar Ray - probably the best fighter I have ever seen - period.

I keep coming back to Don King for most of that. I really hate him and what he did to the sport. And no - I don't know.

Only mistake I ever saw him make, was going toe to toe. He easily out-boxed anybody he faced. He was my favorite boxer, overall, too.

I saw the Mancini Kim fight live, as I am sure that you did...Two very similar fighters...When Mancini accidentally killed Kim, it messed him up forever..I recently saw a show where Kim's widow and and son came to see Mancini...It was touching
