The packers are insane. Take whatever they can get for that drama queen. He's not gonna take them anywhere. He is the problem. It's been 12 years. His offense blows in the playoffs when it gets tough. Who's the constant?

Not sure how he and his GF buying a house outside Nashville means he wants to play there. If he was selling his property in Green Bay then I could see it.
He most likely did it for tax reasons. Tennessee doesn't have a state tax. So if he makes his off season home there...it doesn't mean we wants to go to the Titans.

Much ado about nothing, Stafford said I gave it everything I had it’s time for me to leave, and he did. All we have from Rodgers is speculation and tea leaves. Jeez if you want to go, go already.

Agreed. He won won one superbowl but other than that, nothing. And that includes like 3 years in a row with the #1 seed in the NFC and no SB appearances. Goff and Stafford have now matched Rodgers NFC championship totals. So has Crapollo if you want to count beans.

It's weird in the NFL but I believe each state chargers players. So for example, if Aaron Rodgers plays at San Fran, that week's paycheck is taxable in California. I saw this on some documentary and though it was nuts, but NFL players basically need lawyers to file their taxes. It's crazy. Of course those rules may have changed but I'm not sure.

You're not crazy, depending on the State tax rules it could happen. Good thing there are accountants to deal with crap like that.

I thought the Titans and Rams were going to have a Super Bowl repeat. I wasn't crazy about the idea either. Tough team for the Rams. They likely feel that they were goid enough to be in the big game. Two tipped passes made the difference in losing that game. Maybe Meathead Mike has his heart set on filling others holes that they wouldn't be able to if they trade picks for Rodgers.

Rodgers obviously doesn't get the concept that if you tell people that you're going to do something then you do it. If you don't do it you look like a putz.

Only for 8 games or so. The rest were played on the road. A lot of athletes do the 'no state tax' home thing. There must be a good advantage for them to do it IMO.

States and even counties have become VERY aggressive pursuing professional athletes.

So, now, if a player from, say, FL which has no state income tax plays a game in NJ with both a state and county income tax, he has to pay based on his game check. It's a few grand, but with all the players in all the sports, it's a few million.

There's UMPTEEN ways they could get that money, but they wanted it from pro athletes and it held up in court, so yeah.

Nowadays, being a pro athlete means filing not just your federal and maybe state income tax forms, but also state income tax forms for every state with an income tax that one plays in. The numbers aren't so crazy to figure in football, but in baseball, especially... what a drag...

i question that because...

his employer is based in Wisconsin .pays travel expenses etc..

wouldn't the employer, who gets part of the gate money, take the brunt of the tax hit?
