I'm just hoping something gives and gets them to be more powerful in the run game.

I ponder which of the Ram's numerous OT's signed & under contract can make the conversion to be an effective NFL OG?

Alaric Jackson over 6-7/321- arm length 34 inch
Adrian Ealy over 6-6/321- arm Lenght 32 5/8″ inch
David Edwards over 6-6/323 -arm length 33 3/8ths inch
Max Pircher over 6-7/299 -arm lenght ?
Chandler Brewer over 6-6/320-?
Bobby Evans over 6-4\312 -arm length is close to 35 inches :laugh4:
Tremayne Anchrum under 6-2/314 -arm length 33 5/8ths

Yeah, smart move.

"5.67 ypc"?

I won't use the ignore feature because humor is always good.
Yeah, I was off by 1 carry.
1. I had the Rams with 3 carries for 17 yards before Higbee went out.
You were off by 3/4 of a game, and when you were corrected, you went off the rails like a little bitch.
And you still are
Who was calling who a liar?
Good grief
Keep on trolling me though, it's kind of cute

Nope didn't go off the rails like you seem to be here.

Yeah, you're never wrong. If you are, it's always something minor like 1 carry. And I was off by 3/4 of a game. Except, your 1 carry changed the average by almost a yard and a half (5.67 - 4.25). Small mistake. My 3/4 of a game error changed the ypc by 0.28 (97 - 283 / 2.91 to 72 - 230 / 3.19).

Like I said, you're never wrong in your mind and if you are it's only by a little bit. You've got an image to uphold.....a legend in your own mind, know-it-all, who's never wrong.

Btw, not trolling you (but your doing a good imitation of a stalker). What happened with putting me on ignore? You should do it. It would be really beneficial for that image you need to uphold. Wouldn't want to damage that smartest Ram fan / smartest Yankee fan thing you got going on. Homegrown or developed!

Interesting?

The beginning of 2021 the starting lineup was AW,DE,Corbett,BE,RH

Brian Allen was a backup RG & Coleman Shelton was the 2nd string center. Never know..
AJ Jackson imo think is totally crazy..

So you just can’t simply admit you made a mistake?
Taking this to all sorts of levels because you couldn’t just have said, “my bad”?
Come on man, give it a try. You can do it

Me too. They sure made one huge push to make Bobby Evans a pure OT into an RG. Most OL coaches should have known those interior OL posts & playing with near 35-inch arm length is one serious peak to overcome. Evans failed across the spectrum in 2021 TC & preseason @ RG. Shelton saw the opportunity & seize it. 35-inch arms sure help to play OT.

Having those shorter arms& heavy-handed larger hands are natural weapons for winning these interior battles. snap. Coleman Shelton has gator arms but has not been known for having the strength & heft to move out NT's. Shelton's specialty is hitting his targets on the 2nd level blocks.

Evans had 1 good year out of 3 & that was his rookie season filling in for the injured Rob Havenstein RT. So I think it's extremely safe to say that Carberry is in outstanding shape with the backup @ RT post with Evans/ Edwards/ Anchrum/ Pircher & Ealy. I guessing Anchrum would be the best RG prospect @ this time.

Just put me on ignore. I prefer to have rational discussions, not debates with an infallible, know-it-all, internet all star.

Keep up the insults, its what you do best. Stats or rational conversation? Not so much. I wouldnt dare put you on ignore now, this is too much fun. A conversation that began with me correcting you and now countless irrational responses from you to keep it going.

Why the running game went downhill - especially at the end…

I’ll add my 2 cents… Bear with me then… It will all come together…

1. 23-Akers lost for most of the year… (and then 27-Henderson lost for part of the year…)

2. 25-Michel is a good straight ahead runner but far less explosive…

3. The Rams used significantly LESS play action in 2021 than in 2018…

4. Defenses tried to stop 9-Stafford in the same way they stopped Goff in 2018… And when they did that, 9-Stafford made them pay for it… << see attached article >>.

5. The Rams lost Johnny Mundt during the year - their blocking TE… And in the playoff 89-Higbee… TE’s being a key to their double-team blocking scheme… (It’s why the 88-Hopkins block on 4th down in the 4th quarter was SO HUGE…!)

6. And McVay stayed with the run - even when it wasn’t working in the Super Bowl… This was huge… It kept the Bengals D honest… Forced them to stop the run and stay mostly in zone… and made it possible to make big plays in the passing game…

I have attached another article from a few years back… What it highlights is that while the average YPC is about 4.0… The MODE VALUE - i.e. the most commonly occurring value in a range of numbers - is about 2.0 YPC… Most individual carries result in 1 or 2 or 3 yards… It’s the explosive, breakaway runs that bring the averages up over time…

So just like in 2020 the passing game resulted in about 5 plays in excess of 40 yards.… This year (2021) - for various reasons - we lacked the breakaway runs in running game…

Effectively, teams tried to take away the Rams running game and for 9-Stafford to beat them…

And he did. (Flame on…!!!)

Blue Boy

( Sorry, but I haven’t posted in a long while… If I didn’t do the links properly, Modes please correct or point me to the instructions for using the ‘positing icons’…)
Hey Blue, nice to see you here, good insightful read.

Really enjoyed your breakdowns long ago at Ramstalk (judging by your comments I’m guessing you’re one and the same)

Well done pointing out that critical 4th down block by Hopkins, probably the most important execution of a block in Rams TE history, yet no mention here ( unless I missed it) until you pointed it out

Cheers!

Come on you were so close!!
Start from the beginning, when you posted incorrect info and when it was brought to your attention, you lost it
We'll get there I'm sure.

Lost it? Really? Over what?

Here's a thought stalker, get over yourself. You haven't posted an accurate stat in this thread, Mr. 5.67!!!! In fact, accuracy ain't exactly your schtick. You're more a fan of brevity. "He sucks". "He was rag-dolled". "He was destroyed" etc,. You know, real enlightening shit. Why don't you do us both a favor and be like Elsa.....just......let it go.

Back to the anger I see?
And calling me a stalker while bringing other threads in?
Yep, 5.67 was 3 carries for 17 yards. Which, as a man, I agreed that was a mistake, it was 4 carries for 17 yards.
Maybe you should have an adult read these comments to you since you cant seem to comprehend them.
Again, back to the beginning and your mistake?
I'll wait...

Just can't let it go can you? Okay, let's massage that ego.

Your right. Always. Every stat you posted in this thread was 100% accurate. You're opinion is fact, as far as I'm concerned. You are the best. Great with numbers, evaluation, film study, X's and O's. You should probably be on the Rams staff. I don't know why I ever contradicted a thing you said. I genuflect to your excellence. Feel better now? Good boy. Now go stalk somebody else.

So much for attack the post, not the poster...
And we were so close
Stalking? Clearly stats arent your thing, I guess we can add vocabulary to it. If you keep commenting to me, I will respond. That's called conversing
