Walter Thurmond for McLeod replacment? Could come cheaper, won't re-sign for the Eagles now. Has some injury history but didn't get hurt last year and preformed well.

I thought Thurmond was excellent last year. Would like to see him in Horns.

I don't think you can read too much into that. No matter their view on Mannion we need more than one QB. Perhaps it means they believe Mannion can compete for the starting job and Keenum is (relatively) cheap insurance. No way to make more than a WAG at this point.

Well they do have Mannion under contract for a few more years, but.......if they could let the second round tender on Keenum in hopes that someone bites, then why not take it if you feel that Mannion is starting material? They could turn a 7th round pick (for keenum) into a second round pick. That is a huge jump in value.

Call it a WAG if you want, but if they thought that Mannion was the guy they wouldn't be talking about bringing in another QB to compete with the three already on the roster. Most teams only carry two QBs on the main roster. If the Rams thought Mannion was starter material, they would be saying that he is competing with Keenum, and they would say it is an open competition instead of Naming Case the starter already.

It seems that your insight is far superior to my own. Ah well, you're not the fist to best me there.
