Usually teams at the top have fuller caps and more complete teams, with few needs other than retaining their own players. So, this is not an accurate indication of results. Did the Packers regret signing Reggie White? Did the Rams regret signing Ricky Proehl?

Sure there are regrets of over paying some players and then there are successes too. I think success is in paying for the right player, not potential. If a guy is proven to be good and showed no decline or injury, then pay for him. Desperation causes teams to get carried away, especially teams with new coaches who's jobs are safe and want to make the team over. Philly, New York, Tennessee, Atlanta, are all in that situation and throwing lots of money around. Typical.

Unfortunately the drama queens pissed off we didn't over spend on day one will disregard the excellent fact presented in this.
