Mayfield had Ebuka open on consecutive plays and misfired both times. Mac Jones not playing at the all pro level that we made him look like.

That was ugly looking. Can’t imagine he plays again this season.
Without knowing the extent of the damage it looked a lot like the Musiala injury in the Club World Cup and Musiala was injured July 5th and slated to return in December.
If that's the case here he is likely done for the year

Kyle Shanahan is putting on his best coaching job ever. This team shouldn’t even be close to competing.
Jones just might be a better fit than Purdy in that system. He's willing to take what the defense gives him. Purdy's not as patient.

Of course the whiners find a kicker off the street that starts 14/14
The Moody pick was a waste of a 3rd round pick. But as luck would have it, they end up with a guy who can't miss. Just like the Purdy pick. As luck would have it, Trey Lance goes down. Then Jimmy Garoppolo goes down and they end up with a legit starter.

Now Purdy goes down and Mac Jones is looking like a legit starter. The thing is, they committed so much to Purdy they have to stick with him. Even though Mac Jones might be the better fit. I have a feeling we're gonna see some buyer's remorse with the fans.

The Bengals kicker hit from 67 yards outdoors, but it was negated by a timeout.

Meanwhile, the Karty apologists are saying it was too windy to hit from PAT distance. The excuses never end with this kid. We need a new kicker. Leg? Average and maybe a bit below. Accuracy? A bit below. "Clutch" factor? Definitely below average. Kick trajectory? Among the worst in the NFL, very low, very blockable. His kickoffs are good but not worth it. It's not like the opponent is routinely pinned deep, or even starting at the 10, or 15.

Yeah their injury luck is awful but their ability to find players to actually be better than the starter is insane. I think you’re right that Mac Jones was always who KS wanted however they can’t afford to stick with him over Purdy.

I do think their defense is now pretty much cooked. No Bosa or Warner is a recipe for disaster. The Bucs went straight down the field with no issues.
