I'm not like most Ohio State fans.....for a while there Michigan/Ohio State was so one sided, that almost got boring too. Losing to yall pissed me off the past two years, but I think it was much better for the big ten and the rivalry as a whole.

But yea, something like regional divisions, and I think the big thing there would be the structure more so than the conferences. So you can keep them the same as they were for the most part, but probably add a 6th "power conference" - then have it split geographically into East/West:

East:

ACC
Big Ten
SEC

West:

Big 12
Pac 12
New Conference

Kick all "west" teams out of the ACC/Big Ten/SEC

Make even number of teams for each conference (potentially 12)

Conference rotation for who plays who, using the place you finished last season - each team plays 3 non conference games - always play the other two from (East/West), then rotate for the opposite side how the NFL does for when the NFC plays the AFC.

So no more paying a smaller school to come in and get crushed.

Playoff takes each division winner and then three wild cards from each side, playoff bracket is like old NFL bracket. Top 2 seeds get byes.
Hmmm maybe I can picture that. It'd have to be something with huge numbers and probably another version 2 for the Div 1a schools because there are what 130 teams in Div 1A? hmmm a bit intriguing there Frantik.

Yeah I totally agree a strong Michigan vs OSU rivalry makes college football a lot better. There is literally no other game that's even close to 'The Game'. The ratings and promotion is ridiculous. Man can't wait to watch the first few games!

In October? I'm actually curious to see how the Trojans are after Caleb leaving and they are rebuilding a ton.

More conference realignment talk

UConn officials meet with Big 12 AD's in person last week in Dallas

and talks are to continue next week as well

this isn't the first the time the two have talked , they talked last year as well ,

back when the Pac 12 was still a thing ,

Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark was in talks with UConn

and then when Colorado announced the were leaving the Pac 12 to join the Big 12 , , it was thought that UConn would be their travel partner , but the the Pac 12 feel completely apart and Arizona , Arizona State and Utah joined the Big 12 , those conversations with UConn ended but now , a year later those talks have started back up

from what I'm hearing , ESPN , which is also based in Connecticut would compensate the Big 12 to add them ,

but it sounds like , the thing is

UConn football sucks

so , UConn had to put together a plan

Mens and Womens basketball , and Olympics could join as early as 2026 , but the football would not join until the next TV deal come up which is in 2030/2031

so Unconn has to convince the Big 12 , they will invest millions into their football program by then

so it sounds like between last year and now , UConn has come up with a serious plan , and are now talking to the Big 12 again , hoping to get enough votes to join

and I think they'll get it , Brett Yormark has been after UConn for like two years now , and I think he's close

if UConn hasn't announced their coming to the Big 12 by the end of the year , I'll be shocked and will take the "L" on this one

I think the Big 12 will add UConn now , by themselves , and then take a wait and see approach to see what happens with the ACC

It’s going to get worse. Athletes will be paid employees. Bigger roster limits. No more walk on programs. No more scholarships. Signed contracts for players to slow down the transfer portal.

The top programs who have been paying kids for decades and recruiting five stars will be on top to stay with these rules. The talk of parity was just talk.
