The battle for 3rd WR has to be the most intense, don’t you think?

Do they have a RB that can pass at all?
If they do, can't Tutu take at least one guy out of the running play by running deep (crossing if necessary)?
If so, that could be more effective blocking that guy.
Flea flickers, too. Better have a guy on Tutu . . . with any kind of lead I think Staff hits him.
Sounds like fun to try anyway.

Not sure what you are trying to say. Defensive backs have other "keys" other than just the receiver. And it's been proven RBs throwing the ball usually don't work or bad decisions are made. Tu Tu is small. Smaller than most CB covering him. He's a liability in the run game. McVay wants to use the run to set up the pass and vice versa. While Tu Tu is extraordinarly fast. You know they ain't running to his side unless Kupp or Jefferson is over there w/ him. (Or both....).
Have a good one.

No it's not intense. We know who the top 5/6 WRs are. It can be interchangeable.

This also makes me feel a lot better about 2024 when Jefferson likely leaves in free agency. The need for a 1'st or 2'nd round WR in the draft may no longer be considered necessary.
McVay will want a new offensive toy next year unless Jefferson takes 3 steps forward this year. Perhaps one of the top 2 TEs but more likely a WR in R1/R2.

What about Skowronek? He was McVay's swiss army knife last year. Robinson has looked good. And he's got vet experience. Tutu's got the speed to stretch the defense. Puka has the look of a possession receiver. Something every team needs.

If its Robinson how much would that take away from the younger guys development? Robinson is on a one year deal. Tutu has a couple more. Puka has 4 years. If Robinson isn't part of the plan for 2024 and beyond will they sacrifice the development of Tutu and Puka? Or do they want to compete and just put out the best 3?
Skow has had to many drops at critical times for me. Not saying he should go though. Like they say..."what a difference a year makes". Tutu is gonna get his shot...he starts.

I'm sure he'd love a top new toy, although he may have found a few unexpected guys already in Puka Nacua, Tyler Johnson & Demarcus Robinson. Nevertheless, we'll draft a WR next year, although I'm guessing it will be a mid-round talent.

I've currently got the Rams drafting a LT with our 2024 1'st round pick and a TE or CB with our 2'nd. I also have free agency bringing us a quality EDGE and Interior Defensive Lineman. Other draft needs will address another Offensive Interior Lineman, a RB, an ILB & whatever other requirements dictate.

One…(Kupp)
Two…(Jefferson)
Five…(Atwell, Robinson, Nacua)

I think it’s a positive that we have so many options at WR. Means that we can rest Kupp and Jefferson from time to time, and not run them into the ground by using them on every single play.
But will we rest Kupp? I agree that it would be nice but the dude never seems to come out of the game. I wonder if that is his preference or McVay's.

CBs aren't big enough to just toss him aside. Mostly what a receiver does is just get in the way of the defender. I've seen TuTu be successful doing just that. Granted he is not going to go out and pancake anyone but only rarely did Woods or does Kupp knock anyone on their asses. Moreso, they just make it so the defender can't just run straight to the ball carrier. I think TuTu is a willing blocker downfield and won't be the huge liability you are making him into.

I'm just not all together convinced he sees a great deal of playing time with the way some of the other receivers are looking. I guess we'll see. But I still think he will be used sparingly to stretch the field and maybe open things up on 3rd downs.

Ultimately, it has to be the coach’s call. Show me a top player who doesn’t want to line up on every down!
I agree to an extent. McVay would have the ultimate say but Kupp certainly would have some push in that regard.
