Team looked young in the first half. You could tell the defense was playing tight. They loosened up in the second but it was too late. Great season and a great game. Next year fellas

Really Good year considering what most of us expected. Obviously Puka was amazing along with Kyren Williams, although Williams durability concerns me. Special Teams will need to be improved and I am interested to see if McVay makes a change there, maybe there might be an opportunity to bring back John Fassel because Dallas will fire Mike McCarthy.

We need another very good draft by Les and his staff, while also dipping back into free agency for a CB, Edge, ILB etc. Again excited about next season & hope somehow the Rams can keep Carson Wentz as the backup.
I would love to see Coach bring Fassel back. Feel like that was his worst staff decision in his time here with us so righting that wrong would be really nice. Although calling it a wrong is not right, given the fact the ST coach took it on himself to greenlight a fake. It was understandable but Fassel is still a top ST coach. Hoping things align there for us.

Pass happy redzone woes strikes again. But I can't be too upset. They did much better than most expected.

20th pick in the 2024 draft.

For me, it’s the actual passes thrown in the red zone that I find concerning. That out to the pylon was a Stafford/Kupp staple in ‘21. The quick curl in the middle, at the goal line was another that reaped some benefits this year. All of those fades to the left side of the end zone? Did that play work once all year?

Overall, though, I had a blast watching this team grow into a legit playoff team right before our eyes. The success and experience they had this season will serve them well in 2024.

Trying to remember where that ball was... The 40?

Will Reichard is a good one and Joshua Karty from Stanford too.
Well looks like Karty's best is 61 yarder and Reichard is 52 yd. However watching Reichard's kicks in the CFP it seems he had enough juice and accuracy to reach that 60-62 yard mark.

Doubt Dallas let's him go unless if there is a coaching change there from Jerruh fuming about that seal clubbing they took.

I'm surprised the change hasn't been made yet.

Jerry Jones 'floored' by Cowboys' loss, has no comment on Mike McCarthy's future

Is Jerry Jones still pleased with his head coach?
Sunday's Super Wild Card Game couldn't have helped. Head coach Mike McCarthy's status felt a bit shaky prior to Sunday, so naturally, there was a crowd around the Dallas Cowboys' owner after their shocking 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
"This seems like the most painful (playoff loss) because we all had such great expectations and had hope for this team," Jones said. "I'm floored. This is beyond my comprehension."

But as for McCarthy's -- or anyone else's, status, Jones wasn't biting. He wouldn't comment on any player or coach in the immediate aftermath of the loss.

"I haven't thought one second (about McCarthy's future)," Jones said, adding he's not sure when he'll meet with McCarthy.

Asked how much Sunday's result will weigh in his decision, Jones said, "I give a lot to today. I'll give a lot to everything we've done."
Like Jones, McCarthy said after the game that he was only thinking about how painful the loss was – not his employment status.

"I think the biggest thing is we're disappointed," McCarthy said. "I've got a whole team in the locker room that's hurting. I haven't thought past the outcome of this game."
McCarthy also shared Jones' shock at the result.
"I don't think anyone saw this coming," he said. "We didn't get it done in any of the phases."

Leading up to the game, Jones felt the need to walk back a comment he made on McCarthy's future, when he said, "We'll see how each game goes in the playoffs." Jones gave full-throated support for McCarthy when asked about that line, saying he was "surprised" at the reaction to it and that he "couldn't be more pleased with what (McCarthy has) done, and how he's coached."
McCarthy, 60, went 6-10 in his first season in Dallas, followed by three straight 12-5 campaigns. His regular-season record with the Cowboys is 42-25, but Sunday's loss to Green Bay drops his playoff mark with the team to 1-3.
Jones said this week that McCarthy is under contract for the 2024 season.

Dallas' offense struggled early on Sunday, failing to score until the final play of the first half, after Green Bay had built up a 27-0 lead thanks to Darnell Savage's pick-six. The Cowboys finished Sunday with 510 yards of offense, making it closer than it appeared.
"I sucked tonight," quarterback Dak Prescott said after his postseason record as a starter

There will be, Cowboys will fire McCarthy and hire Bill Belichick IMHO.

Worst part about this loss is they might need a change at QB. So yeah feels like a natural break point at that HC spot.

Haha seems perfect timing to bring in Belicheat to draft and train up his specialty: QB :laugh2:

Why I'm shocked Jerruh wouldn't go all in on Harbaugh if he even would consider Belicheat halfway.

They won't change QB's, but expect Belichick & McDaniels to be in Arlington coaching the Dallas Cowboys.

I guess he could go Harbaugh, but not sure if Harbaugh would go with that dynamic. Belichick I believe would take that job now. Harbaugh was forced out in San Francisco because he did not get along with the GM, so I believe, he will want to chose his GM to work with and that won't be Jerruh.

At the same time is Belicheat willing to give up GM duties and control to Jerruh? Not so sure about that.

237 days. 237 days until we get to see our team on the field again. With a big offseason, I think we can win the NFC West and potentially get a first round Bye. That sounds like a homer statement, but, think about it, other then the whiners, what NFC team is a massive threat? A slight improvement (which we can totally expect with that cap and draft picks) and we are superior to this season and we were quite good in the end.

I'll be counting the days.

Agree.

We obvious;y need to improve in certain areas (edge, CB) but if we can keep this core group of young players together the sky really is the limit.

With that cap space and our draft picks, I think we can drastically upgrade those positions. Need to resign Dotson and retain our OL, which was surprisingly very good this year. Initially, we all wanted to go OT in the draft, but, I think we are at least solid there. Not so much at Edge/CB.

I think he does, not sure anyone else would give him that power moving forward & Belichick takes over a team that he knows is very close to winning another Super Bowl and he wants that to his resume without Tom Brady.

I believe both Belichick & Jones are desperate and desperate times call for desperate measures. Plus how fun will it be to root for the whole thing to blow up right in their faces?

Haha I'd love to see him take over and him and Jerruh clash and he gets canned in a year or two!

Every season is different. This one was never going to be a deep playoff run and we knew that. But wanted to say I appreciate how you outperformed expectations and laid the groundwork for the future. Cheers boys. :clinkingbeer:

great thread. what a roller-coaster of a season with lots of promise for next year.

i would say that there could have been a deep playoff run if the refs didnt spike the rams last night. next week wouldve been phi/tampa and then a difficult one in the nfc championship game. nonetheless, what a fun season.
