This is ridiculous. There's no proof that the spin in this story is accurate and that the owners want to safeguard the players... it's just some writer writing that this is the case. And there's no proof that these guys give a damn about the players. Just look at the players who have debilitating diseases now and can't work and can't take care of their families, what did the NFL owners do for them? And what about the latest CBA, I didn't see the owners rolling over for the players during those negotiations in order to show their "humanity". Give me a freaking break. We're talking about a business here that grew out of the underworld. Is the history of this business irrelevant here? Geesh.
