Did anyone else think his end zone catch was a TD? I did ! I saw two hands on ball & both knees on ground in End Zone. Not even a reivew !!

I was soooo pulling for him to have the TD. It seems like most passes to him are uncatch-able, yet passes to our other TE seem to be on the money.

Oh well, maybe this week will be his week, even though I think he is just being used to block, (McVays Dog House)

Nah, he didn’t complete the catch to the ground. All he had to do was lay still, but instead he turned his helmet and caused the ball to move. Unfortunately, but little nuances like that separate a tuddy and an incomplete pass.

Wasn’t a TD as stated by FaulkSF, but I will agree that he does seem to get less on target throws than any other player. If that’s from being away from where Stafford expects him, or just lack of reps during practice, I don’t know. But he seems to get open a lot. When him and Stafford build that chemistry, it’s over.

There is slow mo replay from 3 different angles. I never saw the ball hit the ground. It looks like either his hand an forearm are under it or even the defender's forearm at one point. You could argue that he secured the ball initially and should have been down at the 1/2 yard line or that he did not have complete control until he bounced into the endzone. Either way its a catch if the ball didn't hit the ground.

I think the timing between Stafford and Ferguson is off. Just like it was between Stafford and Adams at the beginning of the year.

And he being a rookie is just making it worse.

This kid shows so much potential but he just doesn't finish with the ball. I hope he learns, because then things will really open up for him. And no, definitely not a touchdown, he doesn't maintain control of the ball to the ground.

Wrong play. The one you are referencing was to Parkinson. He's talking about the one in the endzone to Ferguson. As to Ferguson, good effort and close but no cigar.

Gotta secure it right away in the NFL. DBs will fight to dislodge it and you need two feet in. Also rooks don't get benefit of the doubt. I think he suffered from bad luck in that game, but the great players also make their own luck.

This game in Seattle is a big time opportunity for him and the other options who have not fully grown into this offense. The team needs one of them to step up. So the same goes for Tutu, Mumps, Whit, etc. Step up and make the play.

Stafford does a lot of early reads on matchups too btw, as it goes hand in hand with looking off his chosen target. So for Ferg in particular if he wants 9 to look his way, he has to start hauling that ball in. Obviously the Rams are pushing to involve him, though, so I figure we should start feeling him in this stretch of games prior to the playoffs.

I just have a feeling this will be Ferguson's breakout game, looking for a lot of three TE sets and running the rock.
I have been contemplating who will step up in Tae’s absence and Ferg keeps jumping to the forefront in my mind. I think they are going to try and use him as a red zone target. Not to mention he seems like a good route runner.

Also, have you noticed how well he is blocking for the run? I think he is earning his stripes.

Hope so. Though Parkinson putting up a couple hundred on them would be very satisfying as well. :laugh1:
