My Sister and brother-in-law (rams fans both) are coming over....I've never done this before but we ordered four Lobsters from Lobster gram in Maine and I will grill some thick cut T-Bones and baked russets to go with it.
For snacks chicken wings from Albertsons and those little tacos with chips and fruit and my wife's chocolate coffee cupcakes yummy....
Adult beverages; Margueritas and beer, wine and shots of Cuervo.

Damn. Sounds like you’re nailing it. Nice job, first try or not.

We'll likely have some family over for the Superbowl. One is a 49er fan. A couple more are Raider fans who hate the 49ers almost as much as I do. And they don't like the Bengals either.

My son will be grilling some tri-tip. We'll have the usual potato salad and spinach dip. Along with chips and salsa. I told my son he better have that tri-tip ready before game time. Because I'm not missing one play getting up for some food.

I'll have my Jack Youngblood jersey on. Its been my lucky jersey. Wore for all 3 playoff games. During the season I wore my Eric Dickerson throw back. That jersey has plenty of wins but some losses too. Jack Youngblood's is undefeated so far.

I stopped wearing my Kurt Warner jersey when he dissed the Rams and said he trusted Murray more than Stafford when it comes to the playoffs. I think that was just wishful thinking not based in reality on his part.

I hope your wife is feeling better soon, ... and you can bet on finding those that can relate as far as your back is concerned, seems almost an epidemic as we age. Talk to @Dagonet when you get around to your raised garden, that man's got the green thumb, he's also responsible for bringing me to this site almost a decade ago.
For convenience I now do about 75% of my grocery shopping with Amazon Prime as they deliver right to my front door, saving my back some excess stress, even the supermarket I use for the remainder of my shopping delivers, so you can cut corners to simplify life depending on your location.
While I eat out or get restaurant delivery about 3 times a week now, this can get expensive, although, ... and it's embarrassing to admit after being in restaurant/bar & catering businesses for most of my days, there are some pretty good frozen meals available that with a little doctoring can taste almost home-made, and the clean-up is minimal when it comes to your kitchen. When I'm home alone, it's all about paper plates & bowls which I can buy in bulk.
'Half-time adjustments', that's a brilliant way of putting it, I'll be using that. :beer2:

Thanks, River, I appreciate that. Yeah, things are tough sometimes, but I gotta keep reminding myself that a majority of people on the planet would love to be in my situation.

And I’m definitely gonna bug Dragonet when we’re ready.

It’s really bizarre how Warner has all but decided to be Mr. Cardinal over Mr. Ram.

As someone who stopped following football once the Rams went to St L, why does Warner do this? Did the Rams fuck him over? The dude wins two conference championships and a SB with the only team willing to give him a shot, and he still puts all his chips in with Az? What’s his reasoning? Being released by the Rams? Was there any behind the scenes bs? Someone educate me.

Best cut of meat ever (except boneless, skinless chicken thighs) except the price has gotten crazy. I am not paying 7.00+ a lb for a meat that you were tossing in the garbage two years ago.

Chorizo is the same way. I used to buy that dirt cheap. 1.99 lb pork chorizo. Price jumped 300% in the last 5 years.

Warner seems to believe he was fucked over and we'll never completely know what was going on in the front office at the time. While he still does a respectable job when analyzing our team's play, his biases in other respects certainly show thru. Back in the day Warner came across as a very conservative religious proselytizer to many, that got him some early criticism, and his wife defended him in a manner that also bent a few people wrong. Warner likely didn't agree with those who thought his thumb injury was more chronic or with Martz' lack of protection for him, but his dismissal is obviously still a sore point. While his story is compelling, I certainly like and have liked other Rams players more.

@Riverumbbq I was unable to find the whole allspice berries - just did a few sprinkles of ground allspice.

The kitchen smells amazing right now! Certainly a different blend of spices.

That should be more than fine ...
For future reference, in case you come up with another similar dilemma :

You have to admit that Martz was coming close to going off the rails at that point. Matrz's paranoia was on full display.

weather will be nice here on Saturday so firing up the Traeger and doing a pork butt and some jerked chicken for sliders and nachos. If I have time this week will be making some anchovy puff pastries and coconut shrimp. Might see if my buddy has any oysters left in the pond. If so will have some oysters and clams steamed in beer with pepperoni and banana peppers

I'll be roasting a 6 lb. boneless leg of lamb, seasoned with a blend of kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic & onion powder, dried oregano leaves, dried rosemary & coriander.

The side dishes are Colcannon & braised vegetables. To wash it down, a few bottles of Coppola's Bordeaux, his Diamond Claret. There is Champagne for the victory party. Of course, plenty of Stella will be available.

Only 6 people are attending the Super Bowl feast, so the day after, leftover lamb will be cut into thin sandwich slices, kabab size chunks as well as smaller chunks for sandwiches which can be stuffed into pita bread with chopped cabbage & thin cut cucumber mixed with a Harissa/yogurt sauce. I should be set for a couple of days.

Now, the only thing the Rams must do, is :

Leave Kurt alone. I’m Big on Rams, Well went to the Hilton Casino in Reno NV.. 1999 First game we’re playing. Beat ravens first game, They didn’t show on the big screens so at the bar with like a 32 inch screen it was on. Yea we lost Trent in pre-season. So anyway another Rams fan sat next to me and watched this game like WTF.. No won in the casino cared about the Rams to win 3 games that year. It really was a great game for me and the guy sitting next to me. That was a game I’ll never forget, Yup 13-3. Who knew except Me.. Haven’t missed a game ever.. SB Brothers.. its on..

I'm not going to change my thoughts and start eating a species from the Ram family anytime soon. ;)

Not to worry, that family member is a cute 3'rd cousin you have never met who sells her wool to Tom Brady.

I had coworkers ask if I was having a super bowl party or going to one. They laughed so hard when I answered, bluntly, with a NO.

I hate watching games with anyone who isn't as focused as I am and or they are focused but are bringing bad mojo.
