Ugh, this Superbowl sucked. Mainly because we would've destroyed this overrated Patriots team and we were sooo freaking close to making it there.
A good front office finds multiple ways to better the team. If they find his skill set via the draft, that's an early pick you're not using to build the defense. Also, given I have Stafford for another year or two, I want vets who will make an immediate impact. Rookies typically take time.Atwell was $10M for one year. This guy might get $36M for 3 yrs. A good front office goes out and finds a Shaheed in the draft and saves that money for your stars.
Yeah I heard it and was like fuck you as well. We bitch slapped that defense. Only thing holding us back was our swiss cheese defense.I don't know if anyone has mentioned it (or heard it) but Collinsworth said, "nobody has been able to solve this Seahawks defense......well maybe the Rams....."
Maybe?? FUCK YOU CC. The Rams put up 21, 37 and 27 on that defense. That would be the second most (Tampa scored 38 in week 4) and third most. Ain't no fucking maybe about it Collinsworth.
Shaheen wasn't a high pick. You can get a return guy later. Barion Brown is a guy they could target in rd 6 or 7, or others like him. I an not paying $12M on a return guy and a guy who just wint make a big impact on offense with all the other weapons they have.A good front office finds multiple ways to better the team. IMO, sign Shaheed and a vet CB1, and use the draft to focus on defense while being free to pursue whatever opportunities arise.
I've already noted my two objections to the draft route. We suck at drafting a deep threat WR and a returner. Have we had one success story on either of those skill sets in 9 years of the McSnead era?Shaheen wasn't a high pick. You can get a return guy later. I would use cap space on defense, guys that can step in and improve the D instead of counting nearly soley on rookies. Or sign a return guy who isn't coming off a SB and having to pay top dollar.
I don't think they prioritized a return guy or STs in general. Let's see if they learn.I've already noted my two objections to the draft route. We suck at drafting a deep threat WR and a returner. Have we had one success story on either of those skill sets in 9 years of the McSnead era?
Also, I think McVay still wants a deep threat to open things up underneath. That's why he resigned Tutu for 10. Well, with Rasheed you get a legit deep threat and a returner. So I disagree that he won't have a big impact.
Like you, I would use cap space on defense, too. A Jamel Dean or Jaylen Watson would immediately anchor the CB room. After that, you add some early drafted rookies to Forbes and the secondary is much improved.
Maybe your intentionally misconstruing what I'm saying? Puka is not a speedy deep threat. Nor was Kupp. They've been successful finding the Kupp/Nacua type, but not explosive deep threats.I don't think they prioritized a return guy or STs in general. Let's see if they learn.
BTW, Puka wasn't a bad draft pick. He has been a pretty good big play guy. No?
No reason they can't draft a WR to do that.
Nope. That unparalleled honor goes to the Black Eyed Peas.
Nope.
At least they were AMERICANS !
