I agree here. At times, McVay seems reluctant to play rookies or second-team players. And when he does play rookies, he doesn't sit them when they screw up... ala Kendrick. Hoecht deserved a shot at some playing time just because of how good he looked on special teams. I also believe McVay tends to lean on players too much at times. He rode Gurley until that horse was shot. Kupp also has a lot of mileage on him. Like Higbee, many of these guys are playing close to 100% of the plays every game. I can understand linemen playing every play because they are part of a unit, but you have to be able to rotate other guys in and out to keep them fresh. JMO.
Agree with you 100%.Mcvay has been amazingly .That has never been my thought process with him.I don’t know when he got to be like this either.I heard a couple of interviews & was blown away from how far away he is from players.
Mcvay has always shown being with Star players early like Stafford,Whitworth,Weedle,Talib,
AD99,Gurley,Goff.&veteran.
I saw Van Jefferson pissed off his rookie year, but Troy Reeder was starting.
My guess is Mcvay trust his position coaches & DC. Maybe it’s Shula then at CB.
Durant made a play, but then got burned.

I'm communicating this @BonifayRam Kendrick knows that Morris likes the Chocolate Doughnuts with the little sprinkles on top.
Must be!

It has been mentioned here numerous times about Robert Rochell's lack of use on DC Morris's defense so it's not a secret. Rochell has had injuries his first 2 seasons but nothing of major significance. Rochell has played in 12 gms this season.

It's been said that Troy Hill & Jalen Ramsey are the starters with David Long as the third corner. However, take a look @ the below statistics:

Ramsey 98.4 % snaps
Kendrick 62.9% snaps
Hill 50.2% snaps
Long 37.1% snaps
Haley 17.0 % snaps
Rochell 2.4 % snaps
Durant 0 snaps
Jolly 0 snaps

Appears that DC Morris has demonstrated that he favors your corner :sarcasm: Kendricks higher than all of his corners next to Ramsey. I would have never known how much power Chocolate Doughnuts with the little sprinkles on top has.

I'm old enough to remember when this board was...
"Kendrick! Looking good! He's just a rookie, so.. he'll have some rough spots, but he's doing great.."

Anyway..
Kendrick has major limitations... but it's been act whole.. "the best ability is availability" in many ways. Long's hurt again.. Durant has been hurt... Rochell? I'm confused about that one, not gonna lie.

But, it's pretty obvious they've been trying to move away from Kendricks since the 8 of week 8..where he played all the snaps..
Here are his snap counts since then...
wk 9 86%
10 6%
11 23%
12 64%

He ticked up this week when Long got hurt.

This leads to another big revelation... They don't have many good corners. Shocker.

Who doesn’t!
I like the chopped nuts. Randy’s all ready closed down in Costa Mesa where Staley must not have like those Charger doughnuts. Pretty spendie though.
What happened during the last drive against the Sea Hags.Did the frosting come off?
