I love his determination and heart - and I love the way he looks on the practice field, but, with all the concussion issues in the NFL at the moment, I worry deeply about his health. What happens if he gets hit in the head? Repeatedly?
I'll probably take flack for saying this and I don't mean it to be negative but he looks a little slow on his get go. But obviously he is still coming back from an awful injury so I am not surprised by this and what he is doing is more than 99.9% of the people would be doing after such an injury including myself so not trying to diminish that. But he is training hard and looks like he'll get himself back to playing shape at least. Guess that question will be whether NFL doctors give him the go ahead especially with the huge microscope of scrutiny the profession is under right now. Also, I'm guessing this becomes one of the main story lines for Hard Knocks now.
As far as his injury did he have to have any part of his skull replaced with plastic? I'd think that type of injury it might be unavoidable. Just wondering if that's even possible to play with in a contact sport.
That's no big deal to make a come back after being shot in the head. That's not where guys keep their brains. We keep our brains between our legs. We can't come back from being shot between the legs.
I saw these clips of Sted yesterday. I love this guy! His perseverance is awesome!
Then, today, I see the Tre Mason news... Look in the mirror Tre and what do you see? Now, look at Sted and what do you see? Do you see the difference Tre? This guy Sted, your friend, your teammate, your Bro, was shot in the freakin' head TWICE and look where he's at today!
The entire TEAM (players, coaches, staff, everybody) should go hang with Sted and learn what it means to pursue your passion. This guy, Stedman Bailey, now HE is a role model!
Love seeing this, I called it when I heard the news, he'd be back and trying to get back On the field. Only thing is if the doctors clear him, considering they wouldn't even let Sasser play even though he got clearance from somewhere else makes me weary of his comeback.
I hope he is going to be fully recovered if he plays nfl football. I will worry if he gets hit hard and then gets slammed to the turf. I know he has his dream of playing nfl football, but, without your health you have nothing.
I have to admit that I wasn't impressed with the earlier workout video I saw. But this one is a different story. The kid looks good. And I realize it may still be a long shot but I have to guess he understands the risks. He is a football player. Ultimately, I hope the decision is his. I'd hate to see him get hurt worse but I'd also hate to think of him living with regrets for the rest of his life. He wants it BAD. I have to hope that the Rams and/or NFL don't keep him out merely on the side of caution or fear of bad PR.
